It's where someone (usually an operator of a dark web marketplace) has been conducting reliable business for many years, built up a reputation, and earned the trust of customers and vendors, and then one day, for whatever reason, they decide to quit or retire. So they just up an vanish, taking money from unfilled orders, taking whatever Monero or Bitcoin is in escrow, etc. Often, they run up to this with promises and specials for a few weeks to really bring in some last business, fully intending to simply keep the funds. An exit scam.

It works because you only know these people by avatars and user names, so there's a presumption of anonymity. Like, why not just take the money and run?

Providers tend to *think* they have a kind of anonymity, because they front their businesses on the web (clearnet, in this case, but similar rules apply). I've seen it before: girl has decided she's exiting the business ("my baby daddy fina got out of prison, so we good"), so out go the requests to everyone in her phone.

I mean, it's smart: if you had a thousand numbers in your phone of guys who'd nutted in all your holes over the years, good memories and times, why NOT just broadcast to all of them "hey babe, I really need $$$ for the phone bill / rent / baby / whatever "? Let's say we have 30% CTR on that, and we convert 10% of the return texts, on a $500 request ("I promise it will be so good later baby"), that's a clean $15 grand. Baby got some cute onesies with that!

So if the pussy isn't yawning wet and ready right there in front of you, keep that wallet closed. Open wallets are for open (and about to be plugged) vaginas. Don't be a Hoe Bank. That's a terrible investment.

P.S. Just as an object lesson, I'll reveal my own past stupidity.
