One thing I would add is to use common sense and compare shop. If you did, you would soon discover that the price of a ticket to ride something like that, running a special would be 500. Most likely 600. And possibly 700. That's every 60 minutes. If it looks too good to be true, typically it is. The fact that she responded to me hours later does make me feel better about the situation as she definitely didn't have to but it's still disappointing.
I found someone else from the same agency as Whitney who is set to come over tonight on a last-minute booking so it appears all is not lost quite yet. Wish me luck.
