Not going on the loops, going insane, been contacting here and there, but going after frozen meals can make a predator of the animal kingdom confused. I've been playing this game for a while. I've always looked at this hobby as entertainment and not a lifestyle. The rush of the hunt and nut is truly addicting. The "post nut clarity" at least gives you an idea that it may be spinning out control or is it buyer's remorse. Take another step back and try to reaccess what void your're actually trying to fill here. Best thing I can recommend is get yourself another hobby that brings you enjoyment and purpose. Sitting on the computer or continiously looping the streets is going to ultimately f-you up.

As you alluded to, too risky with drug addictions and the hit / miss. Moved to the SB scene as well as vanilla dating. Found a reliable SB who's safe, clean and not seeing too many besides myself Also have a couple of vanilla dates in a FWB type situation. Risk of STDs is always there with multiple partners but not the same risk as SW scene. The thrill of hunting, trying to find that one diamond in the rough is always too much to ignore. I've gotten much better control of it lately but it once consumed my life outside of work. It's been almost a year since I've visited an escort, well over a year since I've received anything more than a HJ, and I can count on one hand the number of SWs I've picked up this year. Do I still find myself circling the loops from time to time? Yes. Can I break myself free from the hypnotic loop circling? I'd fear being caught by my wife, catching something, asking what the fuck I'm doing in a rundown motel with a drug addicted woman I'd probably never interact with otherwise, just all manner of worry and bad thoughts. Before every date, I'd convince myself that I'd partake and pick up the pieces later, but I'd be so disgusted at myself and who I was seeing in the mirror once the date was over.... Yeah. It's a hard road to get to a point where you feel like you have the tools to put this behind you. And that monkey is still on my back, but the difference today is that I now know what is driving the monkey and I don't feel so compelled to feed it.

Not that I don't get the urge, but with the "talent" being what it is and the prices they charge it was honestly pretty easy to quit. A strong of bad dates was enough for me to quit. The fight is a bit easier now than it was in years past, but its still a fight. However, this whole process kicked off an overarching journey of self reflection which is how I now know that the things I thought I was getting and needing from this hobby was and is a lie. Honestly, I'd suggest to anyone who has regrets about being in this hobby to challenge yourself on what's really behind their desire to participate. What do you think you need from it and what do you want to get out of it? What do you like and dislike about it? Just start asking questions. Get beneath whatever bullshit you've been telling yourself to justify your actions. The answers may not be immediate but slowly reveal themselves over time if you persist. Getting a grip on what got me here really helps.

Anyway, on the rant / rave side of this, the game is increasingly more expensive to boot and the dropoff in quality of ladies since the fall of BPage has been tremendous. All around, its just not as much a worthwhile venture these days. I don't even get the almost equally addicting dopamine hit that would keep me circling the block hoping to find a catch. The thrill just isn't the same.
