On the BP thread, there's a discussion about where LEO does sting operations. While I do agree that, typically, stings are done in motels and on street corners, I don't want you guys to walk away with a false sense of security thinking they won't do them in residences as well. Generally speaking, we hear stings taking place in, as I said, motels and street corners but I caution everyone to always be careful because they (LEO) can change it up from time to time. To give you an idea of where I'm coming from, I will say one name and he's a host of a very famous show where all they do is stings out of residential homes and his name is Chris Hanson. Need I say more as far as what he does and where his show takes place.
Obviously it would make sense to do these particular aforementioned stings out of residential homes because of the types of guys LEOs are targeting, but it still points to the fact that LEO has the resources to obtain and use a residential home to launch its sting operations. In other words, don't let your guards totally down just because, in most cases, stings take place in usual venues (motels / streets) bcuz they will switch it up on you. Years ago I remember hearing one of JSO's finest talk to a reporter about how prostitution has changed. In other words with the advent of the internet, he was saying prostitution has gone underground, so to speak, and not happening as much on street corners. The girls even work from phones now which was unheard of years ago. You had to pretty much know their usual spots if you wanted to see them. Anyway, for this reason, he said they were going to have to use, in effect, nontraditional techniques to catch wrongdoers. This has always stuck to my mind when he said that and this is one reason I say to be on guard each and every time no matter where you are or who you plan on seeing. Of course one of the safest ways, to a degree, is to have a girl come to your home but of course that has its own inherent risk (i.e., she scopes out the goods in your home and come back with ole DB when you're not there to rob you; remember, we're dealing with drug addicts).
Also, there was a time I always thought LEO would never put a vice-female cop in the room with a Joe unless it was one of those hotels with connecting rooms (LEO would usually hide in the adjoining room) but the LEO female I visited at the hotel off Baymeadows didn't have an adjoining or connecting room which I thought was strange but it happens. ...not discussing explicit details but the reason I mentioned it is because many of the girls tell me that guys are very explicit with them over the phone. They feel if they don't tell the guys what they want to hear that they'd lose the business to which I tell them, "lose it!" But they're so money hungry. It's not as far fetched as you might think though. These guys (LEO) are in the biz of catching lawbreakers and sometimes they setup sophisticated stings to catch folks. Think about people who have arrest warrants out there. The cops setup some elaborate sting where they send notices to these jokers letting them know they've won a plasma TV or a trip to Europe or whatever. So they tell them they have to come to some place to claim their prize. They unwittingly go to these places and as soon as they show up, they find out they've been hoodwinked as they're getting arrested! Really hilarious! The whole idea is to keep the undercover safe and in the scenario I provided, this is the best way to do it.
If I've figured out a way to keep their undercover safe, you know they've already determined they can do it this way because they certainly wouldn't want her to go into some unknown place. It's not unusual for some providers to want to meet for drinks or coffee before an appt. Some providers prefer this in order to see if there is any chemistry or to see if they can figure out who you are. April, who advertises on BP, likes to meet for drinks and I've known other providers to do the same and there are guys out there who don't mind such meetings. It is very important, as you said, to not be explicit but trust me, there are many guys out there that talk about a lot of crazy things on the phone. LEO will even purposely have explicit conversations with you over the phone just to get you to implicate yourself; at this point, they have audio but when you show up, they do like to get video evidence, if they can. I have heard some providers
...who got caught up in a sting that they've been approached by LEO to help them in stings. Not just prostitution stings but also to help them catch their drug boys and such. Some of them say they wouldn't do it because the amount of money they can make hooking is too good to mess up their reputation. Sure, a defense attorney can discount the young lady's testimony, providing LEO didn't setup listening and video devices in the room to validate what transpired in that situation. Taking her word alone can be problematic but again, having a good audio / visual system in place can be the hurt of you.
Remember though, don't be so focused on the fact that prostitution is just a misdemeanor crime because typically when LEO does these stings, people get more than prostitution charges. They get people, in these stings, for drugs, outstanding warrants, pimping, ladies bringing their little ones to these stings (stupid), sex trafficking, etc. If it was just prostitution by itself, that might be one thing, but LEO is looking to score bigger points than just simple prostitution. And also remember, it is not uncommon for police officers to use civilians to help them take down criminals- this is why they call them informants! A certified prostitute can work in this same capacity! Remember also, people have been implicated in crimes because when those jokers were in jail, they ran their mouth to another jailbird who told the prosecutors about it and not only did the snitch get a reduced sentence, but the stupid diarrhea of the mouth criminal got got! LOL

We can't just look at the prostitution charge in and of itself. As you so eloquently mentioned, what about them there drugs! Some guys on here are in professions that if they ever caught a drug charge, especially if their profession requires licensure, you are toast! LEO knows they aren't just going to reel in solicitors. They know that if they can find people willing to engage in one illegal activity, it is likely that those persons are breaking other laws as well. Again, all I'm saying is, be open-minded. Never say what can't happen because as long as LEO can work within the confines of the law, they would do it if it means bringing in more criminals. Personally, I don't have an issue with what LEO does (in this respect) - there are many people (human trafficking) who are forced into prostitution and I am glad someone is out there trying to prevent such things as this. Any who folks, even if LEO only targets Johns who do outcall less than 5% of the time, the million dollar question is, do you want to be a part of that five percent?!

...until you find a way to get out of this thing, think with that brain in your head as much as possible! A criminal record is one of the risk involved and can be extremely damaging in more ways than I can count but we must consider other risk factors. There are Johns who have been robbed, shot, and killed participating in this so-called hobby. So my advice, try to exit the life as soon as you can unless you're ready to deal with its inherent risk.
