As a recovering alcoholic, I can assure you there is NO good reason to get wasted. If getting wasted is one's goal, or if the goal is to drink to forget, then that's a good indication one either has a problem or is on the way to having a problem. Whether drinking is a big deal or less of a big deal is only relevant to the drinker. If it is a problem for those around them then it's a problem.

I never had a problem with my ex-wife getting wasted at a party but she sure had a problem with me getting wasted at parties. Of course, most of the parties I went to way back when I went to with the full intent of getting wasted.

A few weeks ago I sat in a Korean restaurant for lunch and was enjoying golbi with my friend. The place was owned by new people who had run a restaurant at a different place. They now want to have karaoke at this new place and we were asking about promotions they might have in the future. I innocently asked the lady we were talking to if they were going to seek out American customers for their night time entertainment as well as Koreans and to my surprise she said they preferred American men because, and this is what she said, not what I'm saying, Korean men were crazy when they drink. This was a Korean lady we were talking to and I was quite surprised by not just her candor but the emphasis with which she said this.

So, it may not be a big deal but obviously it is to others and it appears that some of those it's a big deal to are Korean ladies.

But then, abuse of alcohol, like so many other drugs is a world wide issue so it shouldn't be a surprise that any nationality would have their problems with it.

Before we get chastised for turning this into a temperance issue, let's just call it culture clash.

I've had issues with the drink myself. Haven't touched it in years but I'll let people be about it as long as they don't get behind the wheel, or beat their spouse or their kids or anything else that's a bad idea.

Some can't handle it; doesn't matter what they do or where they're from.

Let's go get laid.

I've read recent reports abot LE activity around a couple of our favorite AMPs. I am happy to report that I ran the gauntlet today at lunchtime and all was perfectly quiet.

I had a very memorable lunch with a very memorable young Korean lass.

You're absolutely right there is one of these places on Richmond Highway. If you go in on a night that the parking lot is full of cars there is a bunch of well-dressed Asian man I dropped 200 and didn't see anything besides my leg being rubbed and a K-girl that could out drink most man I know. I saw a lot of the Asian man going off to little cubicles with their bottles in one hand and lady in the other. So I hit the road I had seen all that I needed to.

Anyone know what happened to Port Royal in Springfield (near Ravensworth Shopping Center)? It's gone after being there for a while. I had been going there for years and really liked the women there. They were middle aged, but attractive, and very nice. HJ only, but excellent at it. Does anyone know if the girls (Candy & Moolah) have surfaced anywhere else?

If you have the cash to blow, then by all means hit one of the room salons in the area. It's like $50 for a small cup of soda. Ask for Black and it'll run you into the $250s or so. I've been to a couple (cause some of my coworkers love going) and yes there are hot girls but usually only cater to korean folk. But if you tag along in a group it's an interesting experience. Mostly flirtation. My friend got lucky with one of the girls but it's mostly old flirtatious dirty old men. BTW last time I went (about two years ago) the total bill between 4 people was $2500 (two small bottles of black, two soju bottles, soda, peanuts and them strange green nuts). Since then I quit drinking and I don't want to blow all my cash on a reservation that has no guaranteed result.

I remember years ago my buddy's cousins invited us to hang out one night. It turns out the place was one these salons...and me being the only non-asian in the group, the reception was a little awkward at first. After they all laughed at the white guy (me), one of the girls started warming up to me...but we were there for a good three hours and spent well over $2000 and didn't get anything. The older patrons though were disappearing to back rooms...

I guess I should have spent some more time there to be accepted, but why? Just seems like you pay for there what you can get for free at any neighborhood bar...flirting, drinking, and hoping that you'll get something later on...

If we're finished talking about soju I thought I might give a brief report on Yorkshire.

Made the mistake of not getting current on the posts so didn't noticed the recommended provider. Instead I requested Jinhe because last time she promised "better next time. " The Jinhe I get isn't the Jinhe I had, but accepted her anyway. Older, thicker, but playful and experienced. Good TS, decent massage, adequate therapy on the flip followed by more massage. Stretched the usual muscle in a variety of positions ending with making sure she fully enjoyed the therapy too.

In all, a little better than mediocre, 5/6/7/9. Usual fare, she actually counted the tip in front of me. I'll definitely request the recommended provider next time. Teach me to not skip checking the forum. Might not have helped since the place was very busy even first thing in the morning.
