Worst part is that no doubt it was her manager's money, not hers to keep or give back. So you were both in a bind. Again, its par for the course and a risk of the game -- I wouldn't think twice about it and doubt anyone could done anything differently. But I do appreciate the heads up to avoid her! Sounds like someone you'd want to keep the hell out of your life.
