Let me preface my question with some background. I formerly lived in a city where BP was actually reliable, and a rip-off was extremely rare. Moving here was quite the wake-up call, and I learned the hard way that things are different in this area. I found this site, and I am very appreciative of those who helped me understand what basic research should be done before considering a provider. I have since been extremely happy with the providers, with many of those advertising on this site. Now to my question:

When I first joined the site, it seemed that the prevailing opinion was that if a provider was really good, that less positive reviews were better, obviously in an effort to keep things under the radar as much as possible. If I had a great experience with a provider, and she had recently had a positive review, I would refrain from posting another based on this premise.

I would be interested in opinions from both sides as to whether or not I understood this correctly, as I sometimes feel like I am "cheating" the provider out of a positive review. I am certainly fine with it either way, but I want to balance the desire to make the provider feel appreciated without giving any unwanted exposure.

You should still post a review. We all like different things (WALDT) so even though you also had a positive experience, you may have experienced something differently than the other reviewer that may be of use to someone else who likes / dislikes what you reported on. So go ahead and write that review!

Positive reviews are always warranted and appreciated by those providers wishing to be part of the public side of the forum. It would, however, be in the best interest of all, if you asked the provider first, if she has any objections to her handle being used in a review before posting anything other than a bad review. For poor service, ripoffs, ncns meetings and other bad adventures, the gloves are off and bad reviews are fair game as far as I'm concerned, and don't deserve a 'permission slip'. I think the indifference comes in when redundant and / or explicit details are spelled out in a positive review that might offer false hope to others, or create some greater expectation that the provider may not be willing to offer to everyone. If they are ok with intimate details, write as many as you can remember' LOL, but ask first. I have been approached by several providers that were surprised to hear about themselves being promoted with such details. To simply say that the experience was good, her skills were excellent and she was worthy of a repeat visit, would seem to be fine for anyone. For those that ask to be kept utr, that request should be respected and any shared intel should be thru back door channels among those that have proven to be worthy of privileged information. JMOHO.

Dude, good review or bad review, post it expeditiously. I have yet to hear of a guy decide not to see a provider because she had a lot of positive reviews. Post! It's what the board is for.

These are the reviews that you might find primarily in the "massage parlor" thread. There are some licensed therapists that are very skilled at what they do and the members here very much appreciate the manner in which they apply their trade.

Those that would like to continue to enjoy these licensed services might want to use restraint when describing the details of the massage that they had received. Not everyone here will share that opinion, but IMHO restraint shows good taste when posting about a licensed provider. I think it may have been a post along these lines that Smada read and interpreted it as we like to refrain from giving a provider too many positive reviews.

But my situation required me to stay utr for a while. But thats all changed now and I will contribute to this community.

Thanks for the responses. Asking for permission from the provider for a positive review seems like common sense, but quite frankly I never thought about it. I will make sure to do so before posting a review. My comments were centered around full service providers, as I have had almost zero success when just looking for a good massage with a HE. One or the other is readily available, but both in the same session seems to be elusive.
