You make the assumption that those who post or lurk around these parts constitute a large majority of the mongering pool. This is definitely not the case.

This is one of the major difference why the Norcal crowd can throw their weight around more effectively with their hivemind than here. For better or worse, Norcal mongers tend to be more technologically savvy and seek out online resources for their mongering needs / problems. So their mongering pool has a better pulse of what's happening in their kgirl sphere. Naturally, they can rally a better movement against upcharges or price increases. However, it looks like a lot of agencies up north are still planning to do it regardless or in spite of it.
