Ok. I think I get what you want.
Still didn't see a named flip flop there.
If Obama was giving multihour conferences everyday and spending the majority of time on coronavirus the media would be fawning all over him.
The point of the mitigation was to prevent the overwhelming of our health care system, not to stop cases or deaths. The point was to flatten out the curve, but that doesn't necessarily stop the number of overall cases under the curve, an impossible task and goal anyway.
Our governors have taken their mandate and gone overboard with it. They have lost sight of the true goal and become absolute authoritarians. This still is supposed to be the United States where we have a right to freedom and privacy. We have to manage our own risks. Why does Kroger's and Walgreens get to be open but the guy running his own business has to go broke? Aren't the inside of the stores essentially the same environment with the same risk?
Here you go. Wave it while you get out there and thin the herd.
Not exactly, at least in the US
More people have died from car accidents or slip and falls, heck, from being shot, than from the Corona virus. Do you think we should stop driving? I would link data for you, but I am sure there are others who will do it faster. Wrecked economy from this forced altruism and can't even get routine healthcare right now. Seriously.
I didn't check the other causes of death you mentioned but look at these.
More Covid deaths (46,000) than last year's auto deaths (38,000).

Guess you didn't pay attention in class
There is plenty of pussy around. Not sure what you guys are complaining about.
I guess fellow hobbyist are too old and not in the best of shape if you are worried about this. Same for providers. Long overdue for a culling of the herd. Will take some of the strain off of our healthcare system too when this is all over. Cure (shutting down the economy causing 20% unemployment) is worse than the problem (Saving at risk groups of population), if you ask me. We are way past there being any chance of overwhelming our healthcare system anymore. Lets get back to it folks!
This virus affects all age groups, not just old and not just others with co-morbid conditions. The healthcare system is not overwhelmed because we all self-quarantined, which reduced person to person contact by probably 60%. New studies just out recently make this virus even more devastating that first thought, because they are finding patients without the common signs of dry cough, fever. That are having complications of damage beyond the lungs that include kidneys, liver, brain, eyes, etc. Science and math probably were not your best subjects in school. Please look up the example of the effect of doubling using one drop of water in Shea stadium. You would be the person thinking at minute 41 hey I might need to do something. Whereas, those educated in the effect of doubling know that minute 10 is when you can save the most lives. Get back to us please.
