All the other statistical whimsies are nothing more than red herrings.
Would you care to share some of your proof? Maybe you should start with lowest unemployment -- no, that's now. Possibly stock market numbers -- no, again this administration has had the highest in history. Now I'm curious as to what you see with conservative policy hurting the economy. And you can leave Regan's numbers out because we did overspend, but that was by design to totally bankrupt the USSR. Ball is in your court for proof.
What's that old joke? "2 out of three Americans can't do basic math. The other half can!
ALL of the indicators you claim support "Trump is better for the economy" are near-perfect linear increases from the 2009 to 2016 trends under Obama- except that Trump dramatically jumped the deficit with his tax cut, and the trade deficit with his tariffs. All the other metrics were exactly where they should have been if the economy had continued the same growth rates (obviously this last month is a statistical outlier and quite fairly is not and shouldn't be counted). Obama inherited a disastrous meltdown and turned it into steady growth. Trimp's number are the same growth continued at the same rate. Maybe pictures will help you get this:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/08/20/trump-v-obama-economy-charts/
This WaPo column is an opinion piece, but it makes the argument by showing the actual GDP, employment, etc. Data over the time period in question. It shows exactly what I have said- the economy WAS growing when Trump inherited it, and continues to grow steadily, at the same rate. Trump hasn't changed it in any meaningful way.
Since you obviously don't get economics, lets try a sports example- a football team is up by 42-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter (6 touchdowns) , when the head coach dies. The assistant coach takes over and the team scores 2 more touchdowns in the 4th quarter, for a final score of 56-nothing (an all-time scoring record for the team). The new coach proclaims that the greatest scoring day the team has ever recorded is due to HIS brilliant coaching!
In other words, the best you COULD HAVE said for Trump's handling of the economy is that he hasn't managed to fuck up what Obama accomplished. But I have faith in Don, he will manage it somehow!
Since you closed with a sports metaphor, I'll lob one back:
Game, set, and match.
The good dr.

"The only meaningful economic indicator is the number of minutes a journeyman carpenter must work to buy a loaf of bread".
The price of that bread (and cars, and housing, and education, and healthcare) has gone up-a lot. The carpenter's wages haven't.

Any intelligent person can produce numbers in such a way as to support either side of most equations. I was reading the thread and thinking how quaint the "laizzes-faire"(sp?) arguments now seem.
Record GDP growth? More like record drop.
Low unemployment? Hmmm. Not anymore.
Stock market? Since Trump's election it is basically flat.
Deficit / debt? Still skyrocketing.
Dr. Dave gets it. And his spelling and grammar are impeccable!

All those other items are due to one thing and one thing only: a monster called "coronavirus" that the Chinese unleashed on the world and then tried to hide it and then, when it became too big to hide any longer, they lied about it.
If you're disputing that Trump's policies weren't working PRIOR TO the virus outbreak, then give us some facts and figures to prove your points. Otherwise, to blame Trump, or anybody else for that matter other than the Chinese government, for the downturn of the past month is absolutely ridiculous.
And on the deficit / debt item, Jeh123 is absolutely right--we're in a deep debt hole because we give away too much stuff. How has Lyndon Johnson's "War On Poverty" gone? How many trillions of dollars have been spent on food stamps, public housing, Obama phones, etc and where has it gotten us? There are as many "poor" people in the US today as there were 50 years ago. It's all bullshit.

Here's a record of income for each fiscal year since 1789. Tax receipts fell off during the recession but started setting new records by FY 2013.6.
Fiscal Year Revenue.
FY 2021 $3. 86 (estimated).
FY 2020 $3. 71 trillion (estimated).
FY 2019 $3. 46 trillion (actual).
FY 2018 $3. 33 trillion.

FY 2011 $2. 30 trillion.
FY 2010 $2. 16 trillion.
FY 2009 $2. 10 trillion.
A new report published today by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the National Center for Transgender Equality, and 22 other United States-based human rights organizations finds that 52 percent of Americans and two-thirds of voters age 18 to 44 years support decriminalizing sex work.

Jeh123, your numbers are misleading. Tax revenue did go up after the 2017 tax cuts was passed by the GOP Congress, Senate, and White House. However, what those numbers of yours are not showing is where the source of the increase came from. Here's a graph. Those increases are almost completely paid for by individuals, not corporate tax collections. Businesses were not paying more; people were. Those increased tax revenues you are tauting are on the backs of individual tax payers, while corporate taxes actually DECREASED.
You might argue that people are making more money and that's why they are paying more. That's actually not true. The national median household income has remained level, while inflation has gone up. So, taxes for individuals have gone up, their pay has stayed the same, but their purchasing power has dropped.

My goals are smaller government, less restriction, and more personal freedom. If the constitution doesn't list a power, it shouldn't exist. Every president for the past 80 years or so has been expanding the scope and power of the federal government, and it shouldn't be the case. The military was gutted during the Obama administration, because that wasn't a priority of his. The two party system and the career politicians are what has destroyed the country.

Man the pussy I could buy with 716 billion dollars. Second. Partially due to the war Obama inherited from President Cheney and Vice President John Bolton the first few years of Obama's tenure saw significant increases in the military budget, got close to 800 BILLION dollars. Like, for the sake of this story, is CBJ okay? Can't remember exactly what he said. Wasn't more vulgar than that tho. Now mind you her ad online says "I love helping fulfill fantasies: pegging, spanking, foot fetishes, gs, etc. " (explicit yes?) and she had all ready text "No anal or CIM" (explicit yes? I was chatting with a provider who asked an interesting question. Acknowledging that times are hard and a lot of people don't have the disposable income they once did, how can she entice clients without herself losing out by lowering prices. She does have a point. Just like everyone, she also has bills that need to be paid.
I suggested that instead of taking less money, to ADD time. Instead of (for example only) charging $200 for an hour, still charge $200 but for 75 minutes or 90 minutes. She is asking about getting more clients so I believe I can safely assume that she doesn't have the current client base to schedule back-to-back-to-back clients; she has downtime. Not many of us can still go longer than an hour, have multiple pops within that hour, get to position 85 of the Kama Sutra without doing physical therapy afterwards, etc. , but offering some extra time to catch one's breath between pops could provide some incentive in these challenging times. (I am only stating my suggestion, but I'm sure someone will take this as a challenge to a debate over the merits of this idea. It's not open for debate.).
The point of this post is to ask, does anyone have any other ideas on how to entice clients these days, other than lower rates, that I could pass along?
