Yep, I got a LIPIO ticket in Detroit. Cop saw me give a girl a ride and just wrote me up, handed me a ticket; no towing or anything else. A week later at home I got a summons to appear with a court date. Two trips to Detroit to first plead not guilty and a month later to have the cop no show and it was all thrown out. Thanks for the info Mw Jrp. That's kind of what I figured, but I guess the penalty does depend on what city it is. In Louisville, I would imagine it's pretty similar though, but I'm sure they do an extensive search of your car. I would never have anything illegal on me and/or not be able to pass a breathalyzer while I'm mongering. I'd try to talk my way out of it, but LEO can be pretty stubborn when they wanna nail you with something. I'm sure it also depends on whether you just have a woman in your car and/or they see you pick one up, or if they catch you in the act or with a fake undercover sting operation.
