I recommend reading this article about an upcoming TV series (The Girlfriend Experience). Its mostly about the shows creation but also dwells on the subject of girlfriend experience.

I usually like this kind of s*it, character portrayal without moralizing, and I will give this a try. The trailer has this little cut 'Because I like it', that says it all about the character and jibes with what is described in the article.
I saw a couple of trailers for this show and it look's interesting. It is suppose to be set in Chicago and tonight they are going to play 2 episodes. I will give it a watch because the girl looks hot. SaintChuck.

At the same time it tells me how ridiculous the prostitution laws are. Don't they realize the obvious truth that by wasting time on mutually consensual sex work and play, they are spending less time on trafficking. In fact as some one in this hobby I strongly encourage stopping and prosecuting trafikkers for selfish reasons. By taking them out of circulation, I can feel more confident I am not supporting traffickers unwittingly.
What are the countries where a woman boldly and legally declares that she is a sex worker with legal registration / license etc.), not being trafficked or anything and openly advertise on her own behalf to get clients and make a fabulous living. (Not the Norwegian model that patronizes such woman by saying they are helpless victims and so they would not be prosecuted, but just straight up acknowledgement in the law of the right of woman to make money in sex work).

I knew personally not from a "business" standpoint a very high end chicago sex worker. She did it for one reason. Lots and I do mean lots of money! She controlled the johns like puppy dogs. Some of her clients were attorneys, doctors, athletics and rock stars! Now please tell me how this woman was being "trafficked" or forced into the life? The work gave and still does (although I have not spoken w / her in several years I still do check her ads on eros, et al) give her freedom to come and go as she pleases w / o the restraints of a "real" job! Whenever one of the local politico's or uncle LEO's gets in front of a camera and starts to chatter about the "slave" aspect of prostitution I think of this woman. Yes, agreed there are some crazy people out there that are trafficking underage girls as well as people brought here from out of the country that are forced into the life, but that should be a separate law and those should be prosecuted but how is the girl that I mention and the johns hurting anyone? Meanwhile we have to sneak around in hopes of not being arrested for something that should in many cases be legal!

They mail (now I would think email) out cards stating that the offenders won a contest and they need to come to such and such address to pick up the gift! They are all sitting in a room waiting for the show to start when the cops come in and say yep gotcha! Now this was done at a hotel or something like an american legion hall, but this one about the dude showing up at the cop shop brings a new meaning to stupid!

Just one was bagged for the ALLEGED activity, but they drag 3 others in and let them all sit in jail overnight for UNLICENSED PRACTICE. Even for bottom feeding grandstanding politcos, that IS LOW.
