In that neighborhood I wouldn't/won't/don't go anywhere without my .45 caliber friend, so I told him I had to go back out to my car, and just left. In that neighborhood, I wasn't about to take any chances and leave it in my car, just to check out a dive Strip Club.

This was during the night, so I wasn't particularly surprised there was a doorman. Perhaps if you went in earlier in the evening, you could get in before the doorman comes in, and be able to take any traveling companions you have to have with you into the club.

I only frequent during daytime now and the door keeper starts about five everyday. Chrystal is the only one here that appeals to me and I have even seen her outside the club for lunch also.

Approach at your own risk after hours though.

I had a few hours to kill on the westside the other day so stopped in to Rio because I had heard an old friend was working there, and boy am I disappointed I haven't been getting out to the clubs more. I walked in about 3:30 and except for one guy who may not have left that one stool at the bar in the last five years, I was the only bait in town.
