Has anyone tried Techniques Massage & Spa in Wells? I hear it is totally legit with no extras. I love a good massage but I like a good ending too. Any information would be good.

Getting close to the annual July 4th Vaca in Ogunquit. Every year I've posted for a lead and no luck yet, hoping someone knows of a good indie or "shhhh don't tell" girl in a non Asian spa. Very awkward because I was undraped when on stomach and she massaged the legs, and it was such a turn on, but noup, draped on flip and strong no-no for anything 'there'. On the exit, they still offered me to subscribe, which is another sign.

Went to Manchester- standard place. Got an older lady, she did not use massage oils and massage was very mechanical.

Read some reviews here and on another board (RMs) and decided to give this place a try. I am from MA but am in ME for work occasionally. I called and they could take me.

Upon entering the place I noticed the smell of cooking food. It wasn't unappetizing but not the typical aroma I look forward to. The establishment is okay. It looks like they have done the minimum to the space for their uses. The pros are a private rooms with doors that close and AC (it was a hot day) the cons are a visible parking area without much in the area and the previously mentioned food odor.

Aimee (sp?) met me at the door and escorted me to the room. I only had time for a 30 minute session. She got to work on the massage. She is skilled and did medium perfectly. She worked for a while on the kinks in my back and I was thoroughly relaxed, almost falling asleep. Soft touch started and when I was ready I flipped over. It was a standard experience from there and I left happy. Aimee did not like any attempts at touching and I was respectful of her limits.

At the end a bottle of water was offered and I was on my way. HH was. 5 with a. 4 tip.

One note: I won't be returning. For the same coin I can have a much better experience elsewhere (although maybe not in ME). The space left a lot to be desired and while Aimee did a good job she wasn't my cup of tea. Additionally, while I was getting dressed the sheets and covering on the face pad were being refolded, rearranged, and smoothed out. Not replaced. I am one that errs on the side of cleanliness and this turned me off to the place for good. I liked the table (it was wide and low) but look forward to fresh sheets.

My solution, get to know the girl well enough to arrange an appointment 1 hour prior to opening. Result, no interruptions, more flexibility with services, (if you don't ask, they can't say, yes (or no)) , better chance of less clothes, and something I noticed in 3 cases, the woman are more vocal and enjoy themselves more when they are alone, and no one is walking in or ringing the doorbell.

Was in Augusta, had a FS visit with Vivienne in the evening, was just OK. Decided to hit the Manchester AMP, before driving home, first time since the place moved from Western Ave. Saw an older K woman, decent massage and HJ, didn't expect anymore than I got. $60 & 40.

Recently visited Brunswick, it had been about a year since I had been. The masseuse's name was Kathy, I think, but I really can't remember. She was great! Excellent attitude, great massage, plenty of teasing, just all-around fun. My only complaint was the finish was DIY, which was surprising and also a first for me. I don't think this would stop me from going again though since the experience as a whole was great.

I tried this a month ago and don't think I'll go back. No door in rooms and I thought just old ladies work there. But I will say the massage was great and hard. Damage was 60/40 standard finish.

Can't say it'll be all that missed, but the pool is getting smaller and smaller lately.

That place doesn't have as much turnover as places do closer to NY, in Central Massachusetts they come and go, regulars tend to stay, and some places have had same woman for more than a decade. Others change twice monthly. Do not ever depend on names for return visits, the most common thing the AMPs do, is use an old name for a new girl, Chinese woman all have an American / English name, but they tend to change that name with new places or even the seasons. Many have 2 names that different people know them by. You can do much worse that Manchester, give it a try again, you may even recognize a woman from last time.

If you get to the NH border, there is a newer place in Somersworth that's been advertising lately, but overall the scene in Maine is lacking quite a bit.

OOB was shut down a few months ago, the places in Saco and Wells are legit, just very little action in the parlors anymore.

Visited the parlor recently as I needed some work done. New location is much better than the last one. Walked in and was led to a room on the back. The table was heated, a first for me, and it added to the relaxation. Sprung for the hour. Massage was goo, fairly standard. 40 min in the oil si sleazed up and starts with the soft touch. That got things rolling and she got to work after the flip. Nice technique to work towards total relaxation. I left happy. Standard 60/40 split. Just wish there was some younger fresh blood in there.
