I was one of about 18 victims of a major LEO sting back in Jan. In Ooltewah which I've paid (literally) for, and still am for that matter. Anyway, I want to post some of the NOW obvious red flags that I might have been tipped off by if I hadn't been so obsessed with the seductive lure of a tall hot 27yo temptress with an incall rate that was unbelievably cheap (that would be Red flag #1 BTW) When a provider who looks easily like 2c's an hr. Eagerly says ok to 60 half hr FS ABORT! Also, (red flag #2, and I reeeally feel stupid about this one) her incall location was a really nice room in a 3 or 4 star holiday Inn Express. Again, I was oblivious to the obvious. After I was let in by this be*t*h she started asking what I was interested in, or something like that. Anyway, I asked her if she was affiliated with LE in any way? Of course she said no, and I wanted to believe her soooo bad that I bought it. And yes, I know now I should have insisted she show me "something", or fondle me, or some shit like that, but. I didn't. Anyway, after I left 3 20's on the dresser she excuses her self to the bathroom to "slip into something a little sexier". This REALLY should have been obv. To me. Why didn't she just "prepare herself" right there in the room? No legit prov. Is going to excuse herself to the bathroom. (That was all Red Flag #3, BTW) Anyway, as I'm standing there alone juuust starting to feel a little weird about. Something LEO bursts in from a door to an adjoining room. Which brings me to Red Flag #4. Be aware of your surroundings. Like, oh say for example A FUCKING DOOR TO AN ADJOINING ROOM! After that of course came the nightmare of the bust itself. I won't go into detail about that part, but probably the most blatant red flag of all, which I was reeeally stoopid not to have noticed even under such circumstances was the condition of the room itself. It was fuckin emaculte. The beds were made. Throw pillows that hadn't been touched casually laid about on a side couch. The bathroom was spotless and totally unused. Ie. No "action" of any kind had been going on there, and wasn't about to. Let me just close by saying I imagine a lot of you vet. Hobbiests out there are getting a good laugh over this one, but if I can pass on just a little preventive wisdom to others out there that may be newbies, or whatever. Hopefully this will be worth it.

I, for one, am not getting a good laugh out of this at all, but rather am trying to remember everything you said as red flags to try to make sure that I don't fall for a similar sting,

I will add to it that anytime when she is asking or telling what you are going to do in details, either on the phone, email. I'm, or in the room, RUN! She is trying to get it on the record so they can use it against you. No money should be showing till you checked the package and asked her to do the same. Similar situation in Nashville, except, she allowed my to fondle her and she fondled me prior to money being exchanged.

$1k fine (plus attny fee. I consider that part of the penalty frankly) a week community serv, and 1 year probation. There's some other.
Personal shit I had put on me as a result of this, but it's something that wouldn't be relevant to anyone elses situation on here.

I'm wondering what would have happened if you had picked up on some of the red flags and turned around and walked out of the room without showing money or saying what you wanted. I'm of the opinion, and I have nothing to back this up, that they would have cited you anyway. I guess that LE cares if they get a conviction but, if you were not convicted or charges were dropped, they would still have succeeded in subjecting you to public scrutiny and legal fees. Maybe I'm too paranoid here but I think the chances of safely walking out of a sting are slim to none.

I had a near miss myself, but it was with the SW scene. I was away in another town on business, and cruising the red light district. Let me start by saying that this was a very active red light district that wasn't heavily policed. I'd done a lot of driving through on reconnaissance and made a fair share of pickups there.
So I see this reasonably attractive WSW near a corner, pull over, and offer her a ride. And wouldn't you *ing know it, a cruiser turns the corner right as she gets in. The light was green, so I took off at the legal speed limit.
I knew that I only had about ten seconds before the cruiser turns around and starts tailing me. I immediately ask the girl if she has any drugs, because those are going out the window. She didn't. I tell her that she thumbed a ride to the gas station a mile away, and stick with that story regardless of what the cop says.
As predicted, uncle LEO gets right on my bumper. I drove at the legal speed limit, signaling turns, and basically behaving like a model citizen for about half a mile. I only had a mile to get to the gas station, and started to think that I just might beat it. After all, he can't pull me over unless I break the law, right?
WRONG! He pulled me over on a trumped up excuse and asked for I'd from both of us. He then hauls the girl out of the car and takes her to his car for questioning. At this point, I'm starting to sweat. My life hinges on what a SW tells the police. The really funny thing is that we had never actually talked business, so to this point no laws have been broken. Of course, uncle LEO can haul my ass in and book me even though he'd have a questionable case.
The cop finished with the SW and comes to my window. I address him as "sir", was very respectful, and did my best to look terrified. It wasn't hard. He gives me the schtick that the girl told him everything and he has enough evidence to take me to jail. He looked at me and fished a bit like he was waiting for me to spill my guts. I remained silent. He then told me that today was my one get out of jail free card and to basically get the heck out of town. He sent the girl walking and me driving off.
And that, gentlemen, basically ruined the hobby for me right then and there. I basically just window shop these days.
