The truth of the matter, as I have an interest in this subject I have bothered to do some research. Nearly all of it available via google, sure, I did open a Pacer account so that I could observe the pending case against Mao and company. Everything else, you can find on your own using your favorite search engine. I encourage you to do so. The articles you will find will really open your eyes. You will find that LE in many municipalities basically tolerates MP's, for what ever reason. When they get their marching orders, they will close down a shop. Otherwise, how could you possibly explain cities like Inglewood. They have several AMP's that have been open for nearly 10 years plus. Sure, a number of them closed recently, but not due to local LE.

As far as LE goes, they don't need this forum. In fact, they really don't need any forum, but there are other forums that provide similiar info. If its simply a matter of principal, then sure not posting the info works to a degree, but only to serve your own principals. If you think that strategy is actually going to work and protect these places, then I am not the one that is delusional. You would be totally ignoring these other forums that are providing info.

There are very few people willing to think about these issues and then comment upon them.
I am sure that we have some legal professionals, whether it be an attorney, police officers that are here for their own personal needs or what ever.
If you do have extended knowledge of the laws, and how postings here might be used or why they couldn't be used, we'd all love to hear about it.

As far as the current debate, Vlad De Sade and I have very different views on the subject. That is alright.

Rather than carry on a long and drawn-out thread that is likely to bore everyone, since no one else comments, why don't we think about how we can change the current situation. Whether it be legalization or legislation, we do need to come up with a plan. This is one point that we all probably agree on.

If you have ideas on how to carry out this plan, I'm sure that this would be a lively conversation. One that we all would be willing to carry on.

I got to chime in quickly, I use to belive it was ok to post everything out for everyone to see, that was why we have this board, and slowly but surely everything was closed, now I am of the opinion that pm the details is much better then posting it out for everyone to see, sure le could be a senior member with 1500 post's, but the chances are slim, LE use this board? Maybe but why risk it? why give out intel to someone who hasn't provided anything themselves? can post's on this board be use din a court of law, maybe to obtain proable cause to search a place, against a monger I doubt it, but with the current enviroment against privacy and freedom of speech I would not want to risk it. Simply put it ain't worth posting details what's the payoff? s/w's and strippers amps etc are diffrent s/w's are fluid they move from place to place amps can't, it makes them an easy target for le to bust. ok to post very vaugue details but don't get specific it's just not worth it.

I don't get the comment above that "everything was closed". There are tons of places open despite many, many posts on this board and even more so on others. You guys who think there is info here - check out the mp reviews website (hope it's OK to post this). There has been tremendously detailed info there for years and these places are still open.

Look, OCAMPer and I have posted the arguments for posting details and that doing so does not tell LE anything that they don't know already - look up my posts on Orange County MP thread, including details of my discussion with a former LE. It is apparent that some people just don't want to research the other boards I'm talking about and/or cannot think rationally. I guess we'll just have to do without info from you guys who are irrational about this. I get most of my info and primarily post on the other website anyway, but it would be nice if people would share here also.

The simple rule of the thumb here - especially after the AMP disappearance act from the SFV and now from Da Wood - is: "Better be safe than sorry".

It's gonna make it harder on the newbies, so what? If you have earned your senior stripes, you probably have contributed before and you may be trusted.

We have put everything in the open in the past, and now we have nothing in the SFV. So we must retreat, regroup and use caution. Putting everything in the open came back to bite us in the butt, so if we try the PM system to only trusted senior members, we may enjoy some new places & providers that may pop up ocassionally here and there.

If anyone has a problem with that, they are either newbies, LE, or do not understand the way the game is played now. It's a totally different ballgame!

I called last night and Lisa was not working but I went anyways. What a mistake. I got a woman that was overweight and like 40 plus. I believe that "friends" look out for "friends". I'll take prudent steps to protect my "friends" from LE, ROB's, and jerks. Less security = less details, and conversely, higher security = more details. JMO
