When the Providence spas close, how do we know where the workers go next; for example Bebe, Hannah and Sunny at Admiral? Will they end up in spas outside of Providence?
Hi tried calling get a recording at ss in pawt are they gone.
When the Providence spas close, how do we know where the workers go next; for example Bebe, Hannah and Sunny at Admiral? Will they end up in spas outside of Providence?
If Admiral closes, which I doubt it will, they will probably return to Flushing for reassignment.
WTF. Every place I can think of has a posting on Backpage today, just like every other day. Are they closed, not closed, what's the story? Are they open and just doing manicures or something?
Oftentimes these ads are paid for ahead of time so they could still be running their course. Either way I don't think the ads have bearing on whether the spa is open or not on the specific day the ad is run.
Hi tried calling get a recording at ss in pawt are they gone.
Did you call their new location? They moved a few weeks ago, actually more than a few weeks ago.
According to Mika, "all the spas" in providence will be closing at 10 pm.
Less revenue for spa and workers so that will be an adjustment but one masseuse said she won't miss the drunken late night after bars / clubbs close weekend customers and is looking forward to getting more than 4-5 hours of sleep a night.
When the Providence spas close, how do we know where the workers go next; for example Bebe, Hannah and Sunny at Admiral? I was in the area Sun. Night so decided to see if all these rumors of spa closings and raids had any truth to them. I stopped in to see Mika at 1021, but had no intention of sampling any of her new inexperienced therapists. Just to mess with her, I tried to get her to take care of me personally, which she absolutely refused to do. So evidently they haven't gone into the survival mode yet, seems to be business as usual, except with average instead of better than average service. She didn't even try that much to get me to stay and part with some money.
I then took a ride to the spa on Reservoir st in Cranston, but it didn't look right to me, so didn't bother giving it a try. I finally ended up at Four Seasons, where I enjoyed a pleasant but average 60/40 type encounter with Bonnie.
As I walked out the door one of the local WSW's happened to be out front and came right up to me as I was getting in my car and asked what kind of place that was, I told her it was a massage place, and indicated that it was a friendly type of place, so I guess she realized I just got drained and didn't ask for a ride or anything, and continued on her way.
I know that Enso is not popular but went today and had Dominique. She would not uncover but her ST and finish was great. I intend to try the other providers to see if they will go a bit further. I think the place has potential if you're willing to be patient.
looking forward to getting more than 4-5 hours of sleep a night.
That will make a difference in quality. I suspect the gals that want to make more $ will just work out of AAMP's. The ordinance is only going to really affect the folks who want a table shower, a good massage, and a happy ending after 10 pm.
Even up here in Mass, there is no shortage of wham bam thank you ma'am with hot gals at AAMP's. And its never been legal or tolerated.
I hope that the Providence Police doesn't forget that its better to have quality legit biz over black market.
I dunno dude. Just called admiral for the 2nd time in 24 hours and they keep answering and hanging up. Your post was encouraging so maybe it's that you just have to show at the door or something.
I stopped by also and they told me I have to wait 30 minutes, I did not want to wait so I left. The only thing different is I never saw that mamasan before, not that I stop by to Admiral much anyway.
Also, NMS was closed today around 5:30 PM.
Really?? I've only hit the RI spa's because all the research I've done has pointed to MA being a HE state only. Of course there are always exceptions but to say that there is "no shortage" of FS at MA spa's seems to be wishful thinking to me. Perhaps you know something I don't know.
I have no idea where you got the impression that I was kidding. I was not. Two of her girls told me that they were recruited out of a CVS (perhaps two differing stores). They are promised TONS of money and all they have to do is be "nice" to some guys. And yes, they were gone very quickly, week, week and a half. Mika is nuts.

Met Jumi (sp?) at FE. Would absolutely repeat.
Busy, though. Couldn't find parking on first swing by and was recommended that I make an appointment next time. Didn't have to wait too long, but I think someone finished early.

They are not a nice TS, massage, HE, they are in and put boom boom.
But quality is generally good, and price is same as RI.
Stand up shower after is always ok, and sometimes the girl gives a 10 minute massage.

I don't know if Mika's staff is trafficked or not. But if they were hired under false pretenses and didn't want the work they have, how do you think they will get back to China or wherever they are from. Most speak very little English, and for the new ones that came here, some speak zero English. Now put yourself in their position. You're in China, you've been there a couple of days, you speak zero Chinese, and you want to go back to America. You're all alone, the people that brought you to China want to keep you there, so you know no one to help you, and you can't ask for help because you don't know how to. In addition to that, the people that brought these girls here don't do it out of the goodness of their hearts. These girls have to pay upwards of $30,000 for their trip here, that has to be worked off, and don't forget, most are here illegally, making it even tougher to get any help. If the money isn't paid, then the girls family back home suffers the consequences unless they can pay the amount. I have first hand experience with this situation, and believe me, it's no joke.
Daddy'sLooking is right on, Mika is nuts.
I called the old number yesterday but no one answered. Has the number changed as well?

DaddysLooking said the women were recruited. Not kidnapped, forced or trafficked. From FLUSHING, NY. Not China or someplace hard to get back to. It's very easy to get back to NY. Megabus runs several times a day for under $30.
And they aren't being FORCED to work there, as DaddysLooking pointed out the 2 women he talked who were recruited DIDN'T STAY. THEY LEFT when they found out what the job was. If they were trafficked or were being forced then they couldn't have left in a few days could they?
I 1000% agree thjat being forced to do something you don't want to do is not a joke, and sex trafficking is even less of a joke and people who engage in should be prosecuted. But you are doing the same thing the puritans do. Equating ALL sex work with trafficking and forced servitude. Not everyone who trades sex for money is being forced to. Do you think all the dancers pre-illegal-indoor prostitution laws in all the clubs in RI were being forced to to give a little extra with their lap dances? That was a trick question, no they weren't.
But back to this suituation. Look at the facts (as reported). Mika recruited women from NY (not China). They w eren't forced to come to RI, they weren't forced to work at the spa, obviously they were free to leave. As evidence look at the fact that they left when they found out was expected of them.

I've been going to Admiral st / Lily's for years. To me it was by far the best run spa and the best service. If it is closed, I hope only temporarily.
Went by both NMS and Admiral yesterday around 10:00 AM and both were closed. No vehicles in either parking lots, no lights on, no one answers the phones (only goes to voice-mail) and doors that would normally be open for business are closed and locked. Sad. Very sad to see. Also note that all of NMS posts on BP have been removed and CL has nothing recent. Admiral has not posted for some time now. I suspect the FS places have had in increase in business recently. Well those that are still open. I hope this is temporary in order to get in compliance with the new ordinance but I suspect it's just not so. Too bad they could not hire an attorney to fight the ordinance on some legal standing like it was not approved by the AG's Office or some technicality.

This is just my personal opinion, but if you read the ordinance as passed, it will be very difficult for the spas to remain open. This is all dependent upon the level of enforcement, of course. I suspect they are scrambling right now to obtain licenses, etc. The hours have been curtailed, and there are rules about draping etc. Also a ban on electronic equipment to warn of the inspectors arrival etc. And displaying license numbers in any ads, as well as on the premises. I think the ultimate goal is to shut them all down, but it remains to be seen if the city will go that far.
My goodness, doesn't that ordinance go on and on. Mika needs to have it translated in order to even figure it out. I agree with SMS, the ultimate goal is to end them. Period. If no one challenges this ordinance in court and it is allowed to stand, then it's open season on the SPA's for sure and they will end pretty quickly. After all, they continue to advertise so locating them (if they have not done so already and I am sure that they have) is not going to be difficult. In my opinion, I see them migrating to the Cranston / Providence line and setting up shop anew, or, as things begin to get hot in little PVD, setting up private, non advertised clubs. Kinda like what Mika was doing during the last period of trouble. If they go this route, then look for the prices to go up and if it does not work, then a whole bunch of Asian posting for private parties on BP.

I must say it looks pretty bad but it seems that getting the actual license is no where near as difficult as getting a massage license. The section about electronic equipment seems particularly harsh. So a body rub establishment is the only business in the city that it not allowed to video monitor their establishment?

Not being able to get around too good because I now have to use a walker figured my options were limited. With Providence spas seemingly out of the question I considered venues in other places and remembered that Palm Tree Spa has a reserved spot in the lot across Sheridan and a back entrance that would be doable.
Was warmly greeted by Mamasan Venus who I've known for years from the old Lily Spa in Providence before it got closed down in 2012 and more recently the former Evergreen Day Spa in Cranston. Even though I didn't bring donuts like usual she helped me in the back door after I managed the stairs and understood why I didn't come bearing gifts.
Provider was Jenny, a pleasant, but not beautiful South Korean lady probably in her late 30's or early 40's, with natural bees and speaking fairly good English. TS was okay, as was the body rub, ST and everything else. Very accommodating, always smiling, helping me undress and then dress afterwards, trying hard to assist where she could, good CBJ nice hot towel cleanup and actually went a bit over the hour without complaint. $60 to the house and $100 tip for a good and helpful performance, rating this a 3 of 5 as much do to my own infirmity as anything else.
On the way out talked a bit with the mamasan, who said Pawtucket was going to try enacting an ordinance like Providence did. Central Falls has decided to leave Palm Tree alone, but will not permit any more spas in their city.
Believe what you want, I'm not going to argue about it, but I know what I'm talking about.
You might think you "know" what you are talking about but when you talk about people from Flushing, NY having to work at a RI spa because they would have trouble getting back to 'China or wherever' you have illustrated prety clearly that A) you don't even know a basic fact like workers in AMPs are almost exclusively Korean, and B) you didn't even read the comment you were replying to.

The city doesn't make laws, they just make ordinances. They can write ordinances that make it hard for a business to exists and they can fine the hell out businesses theat don't comply anjd shut them down but they can't put someone in jail for breaking an ordinance. The state passes laws. If video security systems are legal for businesses to hafve in RI then they are legal in Providence regardless of what providence inflated-ego city board members think. All a spa would have to do would be to get a lawyer to argue that the video system is for security. Which I am sure they are. And any case by the city would be thrown out.
I think places like NMS and Admiral should go to FS to make up the money they will loose due to the new restrictions on the amount of hours they will be open daily. Its not like the girls in these places have not done FS at other spas.

My friend, you have a lot to learn. Maybe the workers in the spas you frequent "are almost exclusively Korean". But don't think for a minute that there isn't a large number of Chinese workers in AMPs all over, and many rotate from Flushing, just the same as the Koreans. Chinatown has more AMPs than Providence, a lot more. How many Koreans do you think work in Chinatown?
Be. I thoroughly read the comment I replied to.
See. If you're looking for an argument, this is the wrong thread for it.

I just don't understand why people care so much about dudes getting a handy. Yea, it's not legal, but it's not nearly as awful as say, spitting gum on the sidewalk, or parking on the grass, or fireworks on July 4th.
I can't get one spa to pick up the phone. At least two the other day were still operational but this is getting serious now. Basically it may be a show up at the door situation at this point. I'm not making the trek for that chance though.
Good luck guys. I guess it's back to otc with strippers and dealings with civi girls. Damn.
