ATF (Another Trembling Fiesta) With Hannabeth
Lookee here. Anyone caring to explore even a bit of my posting history on this forum, or even another one NeaRby, can deduce that I make no bones (actually I make a BIG bone, pun intended) about referring to Hannabeth as my ATF. And for whatever reason, Hannabeth (one of the most discreet ladies in these parts) seems to be a magnet for drama, through no fault of her own. Quite ironic, really, how the most discreet of ladies would attract hateful posts, but so be it. And quite fitting for my latest rendezvous with Hannabeth to fall exactly one month following the beginning of the most recent of these cult-inspired personal attacks. They have happened in the past as well, usually when Hannabeth does something as simple as post an opinion on a discussion thread, or offer helpful tips for all of us to remain safe. If Hannabeth were in Jonestown, rest assured she would not drink the Kool-Aid, nor would I. But many do, and that is sad.
And about the event, it was just as good as all of my previous Hannabeth events, going back four years. And it almost didn't happen. Here's the funny thing. Hannabeth has always encouraged pre-booking my rendezvous, but as long as I have given reasonable notice I have pretty much been able to schedule pretty close to the time / date I was seeking. Not so for the last few weeks. I have had just a bit more difficulty getting a rendezvous booked. I even attempted to book with a touring provider earlier this week, but apparently didn't start that effort soon enough, or didn't get screened, or whatever. Good for me! Was finally able to get my booking earlier tonight with Hannabeth and renew our acquaintances. What a night! I admit I am very happy for Hannabeth that the result of spewing venom is a spike in business. Just will have to be a better planner, and know that appointments are harder to come by these days. And if you have seen her in the past, I would just say to keep that in mind when trying to book. It will possibly be a bit more difficult than you are accustomed to. At least it was for me.
