CRIME REPORT: 6 charged with prostitution after officers respond to sexual services ads

Undercover officers trolled online and print ads for sexual services over the weekend and arranged to rendezvous with at least six suspects.

Officers met the women after responding to ads placed on the Craigslist and Sipsap Web sites, in The Memphis Flyer and the Sports section of The Commercial Appeal.

I guess there is a slight chance she might have taken an ad out in the Flyer but I don't read it, so I can't say for sure there. I also wouldn't think doing that would be cost efficient or get a girl as many potential hits as CL or BP so it doesn't make sense from that perspective either.

By any chance have you read the Warrant on the Houston bust SL posted last week? It’s interesting they know as much or more that we do. If people want to know what Vice will do, read it. There is another board that is very strong in Houston and to read their take on this is pretty wild. These guys have talked about the strict screening was and references required to see someone. Even with the strict screening the agency owner hired a female vice. Bottom line never under estimate what they know or will do.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I almost always find ads there after googling the phone number. Sometimes I go there when I'm bored to find new providers and then google the number to find new sites such as this one.

I used my residence as my incall in Phoenix for two years. I never had one problem with anyone showing up unannounced after knowing where i lived. For me, it was all about screening. I can't do that here because i live in a very small community. Hotels have their risks too. I used to work for a large hotel chain and they do train their staff to look out for possible activity. The bottom line is, the risk is there no matter where you do it, how much you screen, or how careful you are.

We also had monthly meet and greets. I would love to possibly organize something like that here. We would just meet at a local bar, it was very casual and discrete. Other people at the bar would never know that we were a group of hobbiests and escorts.

That discussion cratered really quickly after a few people started to raise the fear that LE is monitoring this forum and would use that information against us.

There's a totally independent St. Louis area hobby board which has monthly meet and greets, which are very popular and seem to work out very well for the most part, and ISTR that groups which hung out on certain geographical forums on A S P D have organized them, and those have worked out well. About the only problem I've seen voiced on the St. Louis area board is that there's been noticable "grade inflation" in the reviews posted to that site, because a lot of people have met face to face--they are (consciously or unconsciously) unwilling to be critical about their meetings with providers who they've shared food and drinks with.
