It is clear that in these times, with all the LEO activity that has happened recently (Indianapolis, Columbus, and Brownsburg) , that some readers are not getting the level of service they expect when they visit a spa.
It may not be commonly known that HJ's (known in the law as 'fondling another person's genitals) are considered 'Prostitution' under Indiana law. In fact, the offending person can be arrested for this act even if they just offer or agree to do it; they do not actually have to perform this act.
This offense is considered a Class A misdemeanor (the most serious level of misdemeanor) and has a maximum penalty of 1 year in prison and a $5, 000 fine.
While it is true that few women accused of this crime eventually get the maximum penalty, they at least incur legal and court costs and probably considerable loss of income. Since most of these women are divorced mothers who are supporting their child and perhaps other family members, this can be a critical loss.
Furthermore, LE does not overlook this offense. I know a number of women who were arrested on prostitution charges just for 'fondling, ' not for sexual intercourse.
My point with all of this: it is not difficult to understand why some girls are very cautious these days. Among both the bosses and the girls, the level of anxiety is really quite high right now.
Of course, if you are a regular, your service level has probably not changed. But first-timers may have to build up some trust before they get anything more than a massage. Furthermore, if you have that 'LEO look' and demeanor, you might want to consider pursuing a different hobby.
Tipping under these conditions is problematic. While tips are a personal decision, I think a case can be made that, for first-timers, tips are an investment in the future. Most of the massage girls have developed a pretty good memory for customers and they remember the bad tippers. So, even without the HE, if you had a good massage, the girl made a decent effort, and you suspect there is some future potential, a reasonable tip may be a smart decision.

Typo. .6 in the door and tip ranged from. 8.1. 4 depending on options. It was higher than I normally spend, but she made it worth the trip.

So, if she has left the country, she used a fraudulent passport and broke the conditions of her bail.
At the same time, she was supposed to have surrendered her Green Card (permanent resident card) but she claimed that she didn't have hers. She would need her Green Card, along with her Chinese Passport, to re-enter the US.
Furthermore, considering the amount of money she was making (I have a reasonable estimate based on information gleaned from former employees and from Ping herself) , she has surely sent a considerable stash of money back to China.
Given all that and the fact that she faces potentially stiff penalties from her four felony charges, if she did leave the country I don't know why she would risk coming back.
In any case, I'd be surprised if she opened a new location in Columbus. Right after the raid, the city of Columbus enacted new legislation to more tightly regulate massage parlors with the intent of preventing new ones from opening there.
It is going to be impossibly hard for the AG and prosecutor to prove their case against both ping spa and daily spa, because they brought very stiff charges of racketeering. The reason's being that their had been no prior arrests at any of the 3 parlors in operation. It will be hard to prove that racketeering was going on to the knowledge of the owners if there is no criminal history at those establishments. And because no arrests had been previously made, it could be argued that law enforcement neglected their duty to protect the businesses, because had they made previous arrests at the establishments the owners would become aware of the activity and have an opportunity to stop it. Because of the implied privacy of the masseuse and her clients in the parlor, it is reasonable to assume that the owner did not have knowledge of what went on in the rooms. It would be the same concept if for instance if a gas station 3rd shift gas station clerk was selling drugs to customers on the job. It is not racketeering because the owners of the establishment can not be proven to have knowledge of the activity.

It can reasonably follow that her behavior sets the standard for the other employee. What can actually be proven remains to be seen.
But, more interesting are the charges about tax evasion. This is the part that can have an impact on all of us.
The law in question is a few decades old but little known. Originally aimed at thwarting massage in hotel rooms, the law says something to the effect that when rooms are rented for the purpose of massage, the business must pay sales tax on these transactions. To my knowledge, no massage parlor is currently paying this tax and the ones I've asked had never heard of this law.
Therefore, the tax charges seem a little shaky to me (why, for example, if this 23 year old law does in fact apply to massage parlors, haven't they been made to comply with it before now?). But, if the charges are upheld, it could mean that all parlors – both AMP and legitimate. Will have to start collecting this sales tax. This could affect the rates we all pay.
We'll just have to wait until August, when this case goes to trial, to find out.
