I think one of the red flags I have noticed when looking around is the area code on some of these almost hysterical post. If you are local you already know the 3 major area codes in phone numbers. Obviously if there is an out of towner then you'll see a different area code but I can 100% confirm it's a scam. I even got a chance to talk to whoever was behind the post and asked him straight up if anyone really fell for his obviously fake scam. He beat around the Bush till he admitted it was indeed a scam.
