Hey guys. I am going to be rolling into town in a week or so. See a lot of posts here about 'the avenue'. Where exactly is this street? (or avenue.). Thanks! Also any advice for a first time SW user? Have only done AMPs before but they are so expensive.
Word from the street confirms Uncle Leo has been very busy since Friday night with stings for SWs and clients. Sounds like there has been several arrests. Tonight there were at least two stings set up between Tioga and Erie with female officers posing as SWs. Sounds like this has been mostly in the north section of the ave.
Think with your big head, not the little one and stay sage and off the "naughty list!"
Maye if you ask fbtom, He'll provide you with the link to the stroll maps. It is around here somewhere. I just can't find it right now.
The map will give the geography. Read the guides to mongering listed on the front page. Memorize it. Then read 3-6 months of the SW threat with map in hand and one will start to build some competency and avoid danger. The stroll can be a fun place, but it can be dangerous. No place for a stary eyed novice. Good luck.

I was around over the weekend and noticed that LE seemed to be on the offensive again. They've been parking at random spots and some side streets all along the stroll to try and disrupt things. I wonder if it's some kind of holiday cleanup campaign.

Often women can be found near the drug sets. I don't recommend that a newbie venture this way as you can be put into very odd and potentially dangerous situations!

Holy shit! Fbtom's post (below) needs to be enshrined in the hall of fame of great all-time posts. It is an encyclopedia of information for newbies. "Helpful" doesn't cover it.
I only want to add a couple of minor things:
First, when you look over the thread of stroll maps, the post you want for THIS forum is post #6.
Second, a newbie needs to drive the stroll several times to get a sense of it and try circling some blocks. Since we advise to NEVER make a U-Turn on the avenue, you need to be aware that the area around the K is full of one-way strreets that rarely go the one way you want when you want to circle back for someone. You will have to go several blocks out of your way to get back to where you are going so just get used to it.
Third, don't pick up on the avenue. Learn to spot "the look." Return "the look" and turn the next corner and wait for her to come to you. Let her in, drive away and don't discuss anything other than the weather until you are sure you are not being followed.
Finally, after she gets in the car or when she gets close to your door, you'll get a better look at her than you had passing her on the avenue. If you are not happy, or if she is obviously stoned or otherwise offensive, then RIGHT AWAY, say "Oops, sorry, I thought you were someone else." and FIRMLY let her out of the car.
OK, now one more (after the "Finally") is my favorite word of advice to those coming from far away: Pee before you get the the Avenue as there ain't no public facilities.

Good tip. If you HAVE to go, take a break at the Torresdale McDonalds at the top of the stroll. They'll give customers a token for their raunchy men's room at the back. Or duck behind a dumpster anywhere, but keep a wary eye out for pedestrians. Or even park at DD and go behind the stone trash house. The renowned DD Kate admitted to doing that a couple of times after they closed the indoor restroom.
Has anyone seen dominique? SHE IS MIA. Family and friends just want to know she is ok. PLEASE ANY INFO!
Also Kmart and the grocery store next to it, which is open all night.

All my encounters with her this time and previously has been on Kensington Ave between Huntingdon and Sommerset El stations. Also the side streets near Huntingdon like E Harold and E Albert, or Oakdale. I hope this helps.

LM[/QUOTE]As posted Dominique is visiting the Huntingdon El stop on a regular basis. She can usually be found there early evening around 6:00. 7:00 PM. She doesn't stray too far from there but when she does she can be found around Sargent St or Harold or Oakdale area.
