This is the funniest shit I've heard in a while! I'd bet that the only clubs that have lost these kinds of suits are the ones that were too cheap to pay for a decent lawyer to get their paperwork right. Can you imagine every fuckin SC payin chicks a salary & full benefits? GTFOH! As most mongers know, real employees can't just show up to their job whenever they want & cut their shift short at the drop of a dime, like strippers do.
Now if Ms. Everett aka Jasmine really wants to get her $ right, she needs to ply her wares on BP. Dependin on what the frame looks like after droppin package #2, I might be a potential client!
I follow her on twitter and she's already dropped her load and in her own words trying to get back on the pole. Based off her social media rants I kinda thought she was a reluctant stripper, but I can't see a chick working at a club like Irvings not being down with OTC. According to her facebook she never mentioned working at any club other than the Showcase and although I believe that OTC is availible in every club the Showcase doesn't have a notorious reputation for OTC. If she worked at most the other lap dance joints I have to assume that OTC is on the menu. Can anybody confirm?

She'll be Blacklisted
I follow her on twitter and she's already dropped her load and in her own words trying to get back on the pole.
Tryin to get back on the pole?
Her shit is out there; every club in the area knows that she's a liability.
Damn, can't imagine what her body looks like after droppin that load.
The only thing she got going for her now is a stereotypical blood-sucking money hungry lawyer.
The greedy bastards . . . there's no money like hoe money
Mo money mo money hoe money!

Even if she's got a spare truck tire down there, I know of at least 1 club where she'd fit right in as long as she signed their paperwork & was willin to go the extra mile.

Same lawsuit was brought against Penthouse last year and a few years prior. Same attorney. These clubs better tighten up.

Now: "Finding that 1 club, signing the paperwork & going the extra mile." that's another story!
Sounds like more work (money) for her attorney.

Was there a settlement . . . . or is this lawsuit still pending?

http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/citydesk/2013/01/08/stripper-club-manager-demanded-sexual-favors/
Interesting, but it leaves open the interpetation that dancers at the "prime" DC clubs aren't making that much money. I can imagine that Strip Club managers are pieces of work, but I have to assume that a meeting was held where they were asked not to sue, I know that Jasmine is now trying to be an avon lady. Is cases from the House and the Stadium brought by disgruntled employees that were fired for other reasons? I know the showcase changed management and Jasmine got pregnant (with a another dancer's boyfriend to boot)
It's just too easy to avoid this kind of lawsuit, The first thing that comes to mind is the on call part employee hustle, an exclusive contract (no working at other clubs) and most importantly strict accountability of all tips. That would've been more than enough to keep the lawyers away. Unless the tips over time doesn't cover what a full time Minimum wage job makes. You have residency at the DC clubs would you say that chicks at the House and Stadium make way less than is thought?
I kinda understand why hole in the walls in PG county are so prone to takeout, if they didn't they'd never make enough to be worth it. It's kinda built into the economy of "low-end" lapdance clubs which is why they try to zone them out of "respectable districts"
You have residency at the DC clubs would you say that chicks at the House and Stadium make way less than is thought?
There is definitely money to be made at those places, its just that most of the dancers are terrible with money.

I Concur
There is definitely money to be made at those places, its just that most of the dancers are terrible with money.
A stripper can make more money stripping than she could get working a regular job, or else she wouldn't be stripping. A lot of strippers cannot manage money, are too lazy and undisciplined to handle a 9 to 5, or want "easy money." A broke stripper needs to be in a different line of work, period. The problem is that a lot of strippers do not take their jobs seriously or treat it as a true profession. Now, that I am off of my soap box, I will get back on topic. I do not have any sympathy for club owners, because they instill in the strippers that it is acceptable to milk patrons and get as much money as possible for the least amount of effort as possible. As such, it is no wonder that some scheming strippers turn the table on the clubs where they work.
I think that they should treat strippers like barbers / hairstylists. Make them pay a certain amount each week to work at the club, and they make the money that they make. However, have them sign a contract wherein they agree to provide services for a minimum number of hours a week on certain shifts, and leave it at that.

EI Friday night
Got to EI Friday about 5 pm. Even number of guys and gals. Gals of all shapes and sizes. I RTFF first and went down to investigate. I been bored of the Block in Baltimore. So I wanted something new. EI is a welcome alternative but as the reports state get there in mid to late afternoon as by 8pm it not as great. Anyhow had several dances and had fun. When I got there I was the only vanilla bean in there. But its not about vanilla or chocolate. Its about green:money. The girls are working and some put more effort into it than other. Be patient and have a drink or two and find the girl that treats you right. I waited 1 1/2 hours till I hit a nice slim girl than I ket for 6 songs and she gave me a nice grind. I left happy for my first visit and intend to return. Maybe next time I try the food. I hear the BBQ is good.

If they succeed.
"The money (dancers) are getting is not from the club. The employer is paying them nothing. It's the patrons," said Gregg Greenberg, Everett's lawyer."The argument or stance that they agreed to be independent contractors isn't worth the piece of paper the agreement may or may not be written on."
The owners of the Ebony Inn declined to comment on the lawsuit.
[. ] Just recently, a judge in Kansas ruled dancers could collect unemployment benefits.
"I feel like I should be the voice of other dancers," Everett said.
She said she hopes both of her lawsuits will gain class-action status and that the clubs will have to treat dancers as employees and pay them.
Last year, Greenberg successfully sued a Washington, D. C, club that had to pay $446, 000 in back wages, overtime, damages and attorney fees after a federal judge ruled that five dancers were employees.
Some of the changes may translate in patrons paying more (Club has to recoup the expenses) or tightening rules.
Some of the changes may translate in patrons paying more (Club has to recoup the expenses) or tightening rules.
They might try that but I doubt that It would work contrary to popular belief the E. I. Isn't the only high mileage club in PG county; actually it's not even the best in terms of quality, the only thing it leads in is convenience. Other than that it's about the same as hole in the walls all over the world. If anything what's likely to change anything is the constant mentions on this board.
They really can't justify charging more without dramatically increasing the quality of entertainment in that establishment and That's not happening. There's not going to be any paychecks issued at the clubatbest the plaintiff will get a nice check to go away. For one thing It would be hard to prove that Jasmine actually danced there. I frequented the place for years and I never saw her there, they could get several people saying the same thing if it went to court.
I can see the place getting weaker but that's due to being in the media which is what does in damn near every other lap dance spot I've been to.

What I gonna to do
Sad day my friends. Macombos closing. Rumor is a week or two. I had heard 30 days a few weeks ago, so popped in for the day shift on a Friday. Hadn't been in there in ages. Had a few beers, collected a few new numbers then left. Sucks man. That was the only strip club I liked to go to. Place was just chill.
and in the spirit of Tha X Facta...

Or that their reputation is verifiable once a monger ventures there. I would like to know of the others, if you're willing to share.
