Keep in mind for a street walker it is a $250 ticket. For the John it is a $1000 fine and you get your mug shot splattered in the paper. If found guilty in court you now have a record. Innocent or not you will never hear if you are innocent of the charges in the paper. You become a target.
All you have to do is do a search of arrests in your city / town of interest. The vast amount of arrests have the fact that a hotel / motel was used to set up LEO's operation. You are on camera from the time you enter to the time you leave and don't think for a minute that LEO and management don't work together.

I've NEVER heard of a sting arranged at a private residence. A bust targeting a specific provider, sure. Especially if there's other activity involved, such as the peddling of illicit substances.
