Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing a lot of fake profiles. Girls will chat with you a bit on SA, then move the conversation to text or kik or whatever, and then basically start telling you sad stories to get you to send money online.
It's happened to me so many times in the last few weeks that I'm getting suspicious about every profile I see.

If you do this long enough you get a feel for how a newbie, a semi-pro or a pro behaves if they are serious. At the minimum do a picture search and don't agree to anything online like paying for pictures, videos etc.

Some patterns I noticed are non-American English terms like "Nice to Read from You" instead of "Nice to hear from you". Also when the tale of woe pops up just google some of the sentences and you'll see reports of the scams used elsewhere, they're just working off scripts.
Seems like this thread has a lot of posts on who not to see, but very little on who is a good bet.
You tend to keep the good ones.

Every "sugar baby" that wants money before meeting, every one, is a fake. It might be a girl, but it is much more likely to be a guy. They are not in this area. They have a job, and their job is to trick you into giving them money. They will say anything, promise anything, because they know they never have to deliver.
Once they have your money, they never have to do anything.
If someone wants your money upfront, either directly through paypal, venmo, square, western union, or indirectly, through some cam site, they are trying to rip you off.

That SA profile has already been nuked. If she looks TGTBT just wait a week a two and if it's a scam and fake then the profile doesn't last long on SA.
Also so far I've yet to see an 8-10 at reasonable prices.

They'll also ask you to prove that you are wealthy or send you unsolicited nude pictures upfront to try to entice you. Some are a bit more sophisticated. They'll chat with you for a few days, perhaps even agree to meet but then they'll ask you for a "favor" to help with a bill, or their car broke down.
