Both parties rely on debt / deficit when in power and getting congress to pass term limits on itself is as unlikely as it sounds. Not sure an argument in favor of how US handled prior pandemics is a strong one, 675000 Americans died in Spanish Flu (1918) - extrapolating from US population at the time (about 103 MM) that would equate to a death rate of about 0. 006 - if we matched that today we'd have deaths of about 2 MM. Also, while the economy was not shut down in 1918 a lot of churches and schools were. Even masks were worn to some degree. I'd like to think we've advanced since then. Our local News 6 reporter had to ask DeSantis three times during a press conference to get him to admit that the numbers shown as cases, were really positive test results. Some persons that get the COVID have been tested as many as ten times before they can get the required two negatives, two days in a row. So, right there, shows you the numbers are not correct.

Now, we keep hearing about a vaccine. But yet there were 62 doctors on the steps of the Capital a few weeks ago. They were screaming to the rooftops that the Hydroxychloroquine / Zinc / antibiotic cocktail works and is nearly 100% effective if started early on. They also claim that taking only one tablet every two weeks will prevent you catching the virus. There are over 300 doctors in America alone that are swearing by this treatment process. These doctors are risking their practices and reputation by doing this. But yet, they are scoffed at. In Australia, they are now claiming a 100% success rate using Ivermectin and the other two medicines used in the cocktail. Yes, the very same de-worming medicine used in horses and pets. It's even cheaper than the Hydroxychloroquine.

So I guess Big Pharma / Big Brother / Big NWO / Big who knows, wants people to die and to control the rest of us. We can't have 20 dollar drugs cure this virus when we need one thousand dollar vaccines with mediocre results, instead.

Unfortunately this is not a healthy country. The FACT is that the US has an obesity rate over 36% which is much higher than any other industrial country. That compares to 23% for Spain, 22% for Germany and 21% for France. It's not even close.

Now add to that the FACT that the United States has higher PROPORTION of adults over 65 years old than any of those countries and it blows away your argument. Then you can tack on the number of citizens that travel to and from China and the US to any other industrial country. Do you think the Chinese travelers are overwhelming Tijuana, Brazil, Turkey or Quatar?

China with 1,300,000,000 that's one BILLION three hundred million people who have been exposed to the virus longer than any population in the world is currently claiming that 4,000 people have died from the virus and that they have had 80,000 cases.

India with an estimated population of 1,100,000,000 2/3 rds of which live in such abject poverty the government never knows of them from birth to death is saying that they have had 62,000 deaths from 3,000,000 cases and they have been exposed to the virus for two months longer than the US.

A couple quick points.

I agree on Sweden and I do not advocate a lockdown. I do expect this virus will be with us for years (if not forever) and I think when we're comparing ourselves to China and India we've already lost the argument. The entire 3rd world will not deal with this well either (shocker). I would compare the US to the EU (similar wealth, similar population and not totalitarian governments (mostly) to alter reporting) - the real issue in the US is we managed to politicize a virus and any and all possible remedies (after all its a hoax). I fairly loathe all cable news as well as all the nonsense people spread on social media as they've distorted facts with opinions. They're all about eyeballs and not news. I tend to prefer print journalism as you can still find some standards there.

Comparing the US to China and India was solely based on comparing population with cases / deaths and nothing more. I acknowledge there is a world of difference in every other way between the three.
