At this point, what's' going through my head is that LE clearly saw me pick her up and is actively following me, while I'm trying to tell Nikki that they're following us and she's either not believing me or doesn't care as much since she's trying to small talk me through all this LOL.

Anyway, LE follows me when I turn right on washburn, but then semi-slows down and noticed that he completely stopped following me when I passed through 5th. I was very careful to not break any laws (I. E not fully coming to a stop at stop signs) to give a legit reason to pull me over. Anyway, I was so relieved. I don't' know what happened. Not sure if he got another call for backup, or just didn't think I was worth chasing? Or if he can even pull me over for just picking her up? Anyway, I proceed to go to my spot and had an awesome time, but kept reflecting how different my night would have been if I were to actually have gotten pulled over.

Has anyone experienced being pulled over like this for no other reason (tail lights being out, running stop signs etc)? I'm curious to hear your experiences on this. This situation definitely freaked me out, and made me reconsider picking up dates at night where it's harder to see vehicles around you.

I was pulled over years ago and the excuse was that I was in an area known for street walkers. Generally if you pick someone up that is not a crime or any sort of minor violation. Years ago the local Vice Squad would send a letter to your address as a warning about frequenting areas known for street walkers. I think the ACLU sued and the letter practice stopped. Eddog.

Technically they cannot charge you for solicitation if they only see you picking up someone but they know which streets are high in activity and they probably know all the working girls in that area. What they will try to do when they do pull you over is separate the two of you and get one of you to rat on the other or get either of you to admit to exchange of money for sex or agreement to do so. This is if they really want to nail you for whatever reason. With the pandemic, I'd be surprised if any LE would want to risk coming in contact with either of you for any period of time let alone take either of you in for solicitation / prostitution. That is not to say they would not choose to do so, just saying I think the chances are reduced in this day and age. Just IMHO.

The area you were in is Baltimore City, not AA County. That might be why they didn't stop you.

My apologizes, you're right. It was Baltimore County, not AA. It's the same type of SUV LE that patrols this area often, they're all Baltimore County. That said, I don't think it wasn't a matter of jurisdiction.

Yea, that sounds like an extreme case where they'd go through all of that just to charge you. Sounds like a nightmare, has this or something similar happened to you in the past?

I do agree that the pandemic probably has decreased the number of "casual" pull overs, and probably warrants more of a reason for safety reasons. I'm also wondering if there are COVID based guidance / directions from the county to go after these types of cases less than pre-COVID to not get caught in the political cross fires of whether county / city funding should be spent in this way.
