Use caution if the masseuse offers or begins using hot rocks. I was at King Spa a while back. That is the East Hartford rub and tug across from Pratt & Whitney. The hot rocks felt good but they ended up leaving very visible red marks on my back. For those customers with spouses or significant others that could be a real issue.

For those who may enjoy the rocks and still want to leave happy, I suggest getting a legit massage once in a while. A regular habit of licensed massages is the best cover for spa visits you can get, coming come smelling like lotion, body wash, or with rock marks is perfectly normal. I keep the cover going by booking couples massages when we travel.
