Current evidence that leads to me believing it was the provider:

Strep incubation time = 2-5 days.

Got a severe sore throat after 3 days of seeing the provider.

Sore throat wasn't getting better and I didn't have a cold, OTC meds for a cold only helped temporarily for the sore throat.

Did the swab test and that came back positive for the strep. I asked if she was sure, and the reply from the doc was "OHHHHHH YEAH!" (think kool-aid guy bustin' through the door kind of reaction).

The most important thing is, I hope the provider knows that she has strep, otherwise she's just giving that out willy nilly. FREE GIFT WITH EVERY MEETUP. =/.


SIde note: someone PM'd me about it. No, I do not know for 100% sure, that's why I'm asking. If someone saw the same provider at around the same time as me and also got strep, then that'd be a good indicator. Process of elimination and all that BS

But yeah, I'm posting this because there's a 50/50 chance of where I got the Strep, and I'm using the process of elimination to clear it up.

To the provider that I saw about a week or two ago..... If you see this and admit to it, I'll defend your good service and post a follow up. There might be less people partaking in kissing/french kissing with you though. heh.

By posting this info publicly and asking if anyone else has Strep Throat, that's the safest way for everyone to determine it. I understand anyone who is frustrated any just *WANTS TO KNOW*, but. Technically, everyone has signed up for the "risks" involved with the hobby so.

I saw the provider on the 31st, and my sore throat kicked in on the 4th. Got worse on the 5th /6th. And here we are.

ALSO! If I really did catch it from the provider. And the provider didn't know about it. It's possible that the guy is still on the loose! EFF THAT, MAN. Dude's just selfish and too cheap to go to the doctor. Strep doesn't go away without antibiotics!

After a handful of PMs, there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it, so I'm kind of glad I didn't mention the provider specifically.

I did text the provider to ask about it, but obviously even IF she did know about it, most people would never actually admit to it. (People that actually would tell the truth in that situation. Those are hard to come by.) Babe, I hope you did go and see the doc to check but I don't have my hopes up. I doubt this also, but I hope you'll still see me!

That being said, I did receive a message from two SMs, one who supposedly got strep at around the same time as me, so it is very likely strep has been going around (if he is telling the truth) since it was another provider completely unrelated to mine.

The other one got strep and the timing was all off, so that didn't really pan out too well either.

To the SM that said I could've caught it from somewhere else. I'm actually a shut in / live under a rock, so that wouldn't apply to me. I'm pretty introverted at work too, and people rarely talk to me, so that wouldn't be possible either.
