Civil asset forfeiture was signed into law by Reagan to target drug dealers (we know who the police were really targeting.) Now that the law has matured, police departments across the country are targeting anyone "suspected" of committing a crime. Police departments can seize your property, and you have to prove it was obtained through legal means to get it back. The legal fees to get your property back usually ends up costing more than the items seized; therefore most people just walk away.

It's completely unconstitutional, but hey! When "mainstream" America doesn't complain when it happens to a certain demographic of people; you can't complain when everyone eventually gets held to the same unfair standard.

So yesterday, I leave home with $40 in my money clip. On my way to the chiropractor, I stop at an ATM because I know it's more than that and since it's close to Tui-Na, so I think I'll go because I probably haven't been there in a year or more. I get $200. $200+$40=$240.

I go to chiropractor, get treated and pay $60 in cash. $240-$60=$180.

I go straight to Tui-Na. Greeted by an almost scary looking woman with short hair and lots of makeup. I'm hoping she's the mamasan. No luck. She asks me how long. I say 30 minutes, she says, "Thirty minute, sixty. " Not what I read on the way in. I hand her $40. $180-$40=$140.

Get a pretty nice massage for a while and then the flip. The flip was interesting. I usually go for full service, but honestly, I couldn't get motivated to mount this lady (I've been spoiled by Massage 10 in Mesa). She gave a nice two handed approach with good attitude, but it's nearly impossible for me to get satisfaction that way. So this goes on for a while. In the name of national security LE can snatch any assets that they suspect you purchased with money gain illegally (or intend to use to finance something illegal). This is intended to give a black eye to big time drug dealers and possible terrorists. Believe it or not, it happens more in blue and purple states.

Several month back, some guy got $10,000 taken from LE (given to him by his parents to start a new life in California), when they found a couple of 'roaches' in his car. Called him a drug dealer and took the cash. Basically, one can be declared guilty by LE until proven innocent. They let him go and the local LE kept the cash for their own use. We saw this from local LE in another form when they used the press to declare certain people guilty of prostitution. In both examples, it can be too costly to fight it, but clearly a violation of civil liberties.

Hard to believe this is America -- also makes me sick.

I didn't realize this before. But when they report "By Spanish" activity in the news, they are really combining that business with Daisy, Destiny and perhaps more. There is very little evidence against the Spanish crew doing anything but massages with a sexy twist, so they may try to make her look like some criminal king-pin; racketeering ect. Not trying to be combative, but that story doesn't make any sense. You tipped her after the massage, correct? Did someone pick your pockets from the massage room on your way out the door? Why would she ask for $100 for a BJ, when she had already picked your pockets? You didn't notice $60 missing as you were giving her a tip? How could she predict the future, and know that you would tip her $60; thus leaving exactly $20 in your wallet for you not to notice you've been pick pocketed? You negotiated the prices facing her, am I correct? What if you agreed to the $100 BJ, then she would have been busted on the spot!
