Would be delighted to tell them that. Care to provide any names or data to back up your comment?
This is akin to saying. I got an STD even though I religiously wear a rubber.
Except that one time. At the gangbang. Apart from that. Religiously.
Tell it to the very people who wore the masks religiously and still contracted COVID.

Tell it to the very people who wore the masks religiously and still contracted COVID.
No-one ever claimed that masks are perfect at stopping the transmission of the virus, but they are FAR, FAR superior than not wearing one at all in preventing its spread. They would be even better if a greater percentage of the population wore them. And they must be worn correctly. Those who have them over their mouths with their noses exposed do not count as mask-wearers.
Its a pain in the ass to wear one, but a small price to pay to minimize the spread of the virus until enough people are vaccinated to to get this thing under control.
Many who refused to a wear a mask and contracted COVID regretted their decision. Heres a snippet of people posting their regrets.
Religiously wearing a mask is virtually impossible. Who wears a mask 24/7? You could come home to an asymptomatic wife or family after wearing a mask religiously ALL DAY, take off your mask, and catch it. While the mouth and nose are still the biggest areas of concern, it's possible to catch it through the eyes as well. When working with COVID patients, the majority of the staff wear a face shield. I probably see less that 1% of people wearing face shields when I'm out in public.
And the debate continues. LOL.
Many who refused to a wear a mask and contracted COVID regretted their decision. Heres a snippet of people posting their regrets.
Studies have proven that most regular masks of not all do not protect you from covid. Only an n95 protects you the most and even that I don't believe is 100 percent. In medical settings people wear face shields too tu avoid any splash from things such as coughing. You need to practice social distancing and just avoiding people you don't know. This hobby is very risky especially if you are not a single man and have family. Look what happened to King. When your setting up and participating in gb parties with a bunch of guys and a few girls then you can't act surprised when someone gets the bug. That's an example tailored to people here but think about how many new years parties will be held at private residences and clubs packed full of people. Great way to start off 2021 being stuck in a ventilator. There are real consequences to your actions. My friend whose been out travelling overseas and hobbying just caught the bug. He is doing ok now but from having video chat via WhatsApp with him and seeing his state was concerning. He was hooked up to 4 L of oxygen and his oxygen saturation was still hovering at around 92 or below. He's doing better now but it's not always the case. Plus many people are reporting long term effects from having covid. So I personally don't care about those statistics about the number of deaths that you guys keep reporting. At the end of the day I'm not trying to be any part of any of those statistics.
100% - and this is just a sampling of documented regrets of people who chose not to mask and / or distance that subsequently contracted the virus and. In some cases. Paid the ultimate price.
In contrast, the number of people that "religiously wore masks and contracted COVID" are embarrassingly absent from the public record.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think it's going to be over 3,000,000 but now we will have to see.

It provides deaths by week for the United States as an aggregate (don't try to sort by date and sum the totals because there will be some duplication). January (which might include some deaths from Dec 2019) had about 240,000 death. The last week of December of this year will probably add another 65,000.
Glad to see you practice what you preach. Have a happy new year and stay away from the covid!
It's obvious, the Atlanta Mayor is not up to job and needs to step aside.
What people expect her to do? Put in a cape and fly around stopping crime? Like she could have stopped a stray bullet? But on another note WTF two 16 yr in a hotel together for smdh? Kids trying to be adults. Like how they even book a room? Parents are more to blame than a damn mayor.
Bullett states it eloquently, wearing a mask is better than wearing nothing. People, this is not rocket science!
I wasn't stating not to wear masks. I was saying wearing masks already does so little that you might as well not wear anything if you aren't going to do the other more successful actions such as social distancing. Like these new years parties that are going to be occurring. Yes wear a mask but be in a packed bar, club, strip club, etc with a bunch of strangers you don't know where they've been just doesn't make sense.
I do not have to ask a doctor. I am a doctor.
Transmission of bacteria in the OR is a completely different issue than an airborne virus and non-certified cloth masks.
Peer reviewed publications show commonly used cloth masks only stop a tiny percentage of airborne viruses.
We should probably throw some virgins in a volcano to stop the spread. Probably as effective as the hysterical "shut down everything" and "wear masks" superstitious crowd.
Florida is largely open. California largely closed. Difference in spread rate is statistically not different.
It doesn't matter who's locked down on paper and who's not -- the reality is that poll and after poll and election results show that for a variety of political and ideological reasons, from 30 to 40 percent of the country simply have not been following anti-COVID procedures; often with the support of local and state governments (in California, your "locked down" state, police chiefs in numerous cities have publicly pledged not to enforce mask and / or lock down statutes).
And that's the problem. If COVID measures were ineffective, then most of the countries in the so-called first world would have the same COVID stats as us. They don't -- despite having the most expensive health care system in the world, and low population density than many countries, the USA Has 4% of the world's population and 20% of the COVID deaths.
