I have been experimenting off and on with just chit chatting a girl first and then when it seems there is some rapport hitting them up with the $ amount. This usually leads to dead silence and a lot of wasted time. I normally put my $ amount in the first message. Much better. I can send out as many messages as I want and then only have to qualify as to personality etc afterwards

For me this is rare. Usually they see my offer and delete it or just say "ok, when can we meet."
