Plus we were probably the only customers there at this time so we were the only people for the staff and/or dancers to talk to.
Then all of sudden I woke up about 1.5 hours later, sitting on a couch surrounded by the dancers. I felt a little groggy but I knew exactly where I was and didn't feel drunk or anything along those lines. However, I was confused because the last thing I remembered was sitting at the bar with my friend and now I was on this couch with no memory of what happened since I was at the bar. I asked one of the dancers where my friend was, and she walked me over to another couch where he was also unconscious. I woke him and neither of us could figure out what happened though one of the dancers said we both just fell asleep.
Anyway, feeling a little dazed and confused, we left the Club and went across the street to a hotel where we spent the night. The next morning during the ride back to Northern VA, my friend and I both could not remember anything from the time we took the free shooters till the time we woke up on the couch. At this point we concluded that we must have been drugged, but couldn't figure out why anyone would've done this. We then both checked out wallets to make sure nothing was missing, which is when I noticed that my friend's credit card was in my wallet for some reason, but nothing else was missing from either of us.
Then our conversation regarding what had happened the night before was interrupted by a phone call from my Bank's Fraud Detection Service. They told me that I had a charge on my credit card from Goddess for $2,700 and asked if I wanted to dispute it. Naturally I said yes, so my bank credited my account and obviously never paid Goddess a single penny. Once I got this call, everything started to make sense. In hindsight I'm 99% sure the bartender spiked our drinks with some sort of roofie then had the dancers go through our wallets. But we probably started to wake up before they expected, so in a hurry they put my friend's credit card in my wallet so he wouldn't know it was missing, then had all the dancers sit around me on the couch so I wouldn't be as suspicious of foul play when I woke up. Finally once they saw that we were gone, they rang up as many lap dances and/or drinks as they could and charged them to my credit card, thinking I wouldn't find out about for at least a day or more.
I'm sure that some people will read this and think that we were wasted drunk, blacked out, and simply charged $2700 worth of drinks and dances. I can understand that point of view, except for two facts:
(1) Goddess is not expensive like a Vegas Club or most other cities. A beer at Goddess is 5 bucks, and a lap dance is probably 10. To run up a 2700 bill, I would've had to buy 200 beers and 100 lap dances, then tip the bartender 500 bucks. This all in a period of roughly 3 hours.
(2) We only had 6 beers each before going into the bar, and then only had 2 more each (aside from the free roofie-shooter). I've never passed out in a public place, nor have I ever blacked out...this includes occasion where I've been drinking for 12 hours straight at bachelor parties, weddings, etc. So I know on this day there's no chance I drank enough to cause me to pass out and black out.
In conclusion, my advice is stay far away from this bar. Not only did they try to rob me, but they could've killed us in the process by drugging us. The good news is that thanks to my bank, I didn't lose a dime and Goddess didn't earn a penny. The other good news is that I remember exactly what that bartender looks like so next time I go to Baltimore I plan to stop by and give him a piece of my mind...and may just break his nose while I'm at it:)

Ok soon as I get back home I will post some more from the archives. Will also post some homemade movie stills. I started hobbying at the block back when Bonnie (circus and plaza) was in her hayday. Made aware of it by the original Blockman white paper which I'm sure this board is aware of.
Plan on a return trip in a couple of weeks, will have pics from that too. What follows is my own stratagem toward mongering at the block. Its probably more like a bad summation of better advice previously posted. This is by no means a one size fits all treatise, its just my way. And I know other guys are happy and successful with how they approach it themselves I find spending two or three days there is more effective now that I don't live close and can't keep up with the girls. Gives me time to get reacquainted. My theory to mongering there is rarely buy drinks, never buy the backroom (why not get her to your room off-shift- for the same money you can have such a better time- sorry no offense to those who find doing it at the club a turn-on), rarely buy a girl out unless you've had good reports. And if she's a toftt, take a break and go to another club for a drink. Then come back. Her price will probably come down AND if your balls are still aching to have her when you come back at least you know you gave your big head a chance to think. Recognize that all these girls want is money (usually for drugs). Treat them with respect anyway. But be up front that you know it's a game (unless you truly enjoy or actually believe you are cute, your job is interesting, or you remind them of someone they liked or know). You can't recognize opportunity if you are playing their game. When they ask what I do (which is usually right after 'where you from? ' and 'you're kinda cute') I would say 'what you do', and after they looked at me quizzically, I'd say 'sales'. Understand that most are on a decline (really applies more to the night or double shift girls), with the trick being to catch them between being new vs being jaded and mechanical, between liking to party vs. Having to rip you off for drug money, between still having a home or a bf. Vs appreciating a restful night in a hotel room and some real food, etc, etc. Now some may say thats somebodys daughter, how can you do that? Well, every girl you fuck has a parent. So what. (But again, treat the girls with respect). Also- find a bartender you like- tip them well even of you don't buy girls drinks. They're tasked with maximizing bar revenue through guys buying girls drinks and backroom activities (and they get a cut), as well as getting their own tips. Last time I was there I took a girl leaving first shift while she was getting paid out. Paid nothing to the bar. Later, after I drove her back to the block I realized she had taken my camera. After a call to the bartender and a call to the Midway she was waiting outside her club to give it back when I drove by. And I've spent a weekend at the apartment of three roomates from a club cause they wanted me to cook for them. I'll post some of those pictures as well. I usually have a girl in my room during most waking hours but I'm not paying them- I'm usually letting them select and model some outfits I bought cheap off ebay, cooking outside pulaski hotem room on my portable grill (and bring a plate to the bartender that you've developed a relationship with, they eat shit down there) point is, to play the game you have to be prepared to walk away, and not let your dick take your wallet out. Don't let them see you as a mark.

Also- did you guys know that a couple of the wilkens pimps (ie Slim) actually show new girls a 'how to *****, make money, and not get beat by your pimp" video? I swear its true- had gotten a call from a girl totally down on her luck- due to her dependancies she decided to work the streets and in doing so work for a guy named slim- but she had secod thoughts after seeing the video. Video covered topics such as how to deal w/LE, do's and don'ts (both re customer and the pimp). Picked her up at Midway to take her to rehab, and her pimp wanted his investment and future lost profits back- from me. As we were on the block, I kinda chuckled at him, then her and I left. This was seven or eight years ago.

The block is literally a city block long of strip clubs in downtown baltimore in the middle of downtown. In the middle of the block is a non-strip bar known as the Midway. I like it because you can take a break from the hustle of strippers and just sit and have a "normal" drink. And occassionally you can meet a lady who will go back to your hotel with you for a few hours or the night for the right amount of money.

First time reporting, but have been following this site almost everyday for the past 9 years (since the hey days of late Trashman). Visited RR last Saturday around 4 pm and was pleasantly surprised to see some fresh new faces. I was there to see my girl Brc and did not partake in any action with the new girl. So, I am not sure if she is a keeper (I hate girls who can't hold conversation). Unfortunately, I do not recall her name but she was a thin blond (Doc's type?) and fresh off the boat. At least that was my impression. Who is going to break her in?

Haven't been to the Block in a while. Arrived 12:30pm, 1st stop Jewel Box: 1 girl, made a U-turn and left. Circus: 5 girls, none interesting, 1 beer and out.
Red Room: fairly good talent, nothing interesting to me personally, 1 beer and out. Flamingo: few girls, no talent, place is being sold I understand. Plaza: always stop for a taste of the grunge. What a surprise! New doorman, new bartender, 8 girls, mostly above the Block "average" Met a "friend" who has been out of the business for 10 years. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. Will return in a few weeks with the Plaza as my first stop.

While I was looping earlier in the night, I decided to take a more in depth look at the east side. I don't know the neighborhoods that well at all, and I was looking for small local strip clubs. I love the little dive bars, and I've heard stories about them being scattered. I drove by this place on E Oilver st and it looked like a club. It has tinted windows and a double single door entrance. The interior door was fully tinted as well. There was a door man out front. I wanted to toftt bad, but could not get my wits about me. Are there any east siders on her that know anything about this place? Is it a strip bar or just a local pub? Also does anyone know of any dive strip bars in questionable areas? I'm looking for some excitement! I'd like to have the Santo Domingo experience in Baltimore.
Kind of pressed for time when I was going by your area last week. So I did not go into town, but went to Fantasies. I was told not waste my $ on Nightshift. The only thing I did not like about this place was the layout. The dancers dance on the stage. In between the stage and where you HAVE to sit is the barmaid area where they mix and make the drinks. So you have at least 30 or 40 feet between you and the dancers. I never liked that kind of layout. 5 dollar cover and 4 or 5 dollar beer. I have to admit the girls I saw were nice looking. Especially one brunette with long hair and a nice, very nice body. Stayed for about 15 minutes then went to Spa 1. (see post if interested) Stayed long enough to see the last 2 outs of the Orioles game....Yes they lost again. God they SUCK. All the young pitchers they have and I don't think any of them are going to be major league quality. I bet they....sorry wrong web site. I f*cked a girl who danced at McDougals. I did not meet her in the club however. It was still a cash deal. I suspect she would have gone home with a customer if enough cash was offered, but I don't know for sure. Super hot but bat-sh*t crazy. But then most dancers are.
As for the poster who dissed NightShift, there was a recent post from an out of towner that he did get take out from there. I have not been there in ten years, but perhaps it is worth exploring.
