She did not lose out on 200 because she never intended to meet you. That was just bait to get you to send the 50. The 50 was all she wanted, not the 200. Thankfully you did not fall for the additional 50. You did the right thing by posting of your experience, regardless of any embarrassment you might have felt. Not every hobbyist reads this or similar boards, nor keeps track of every ripoff report and their associated ads, so she will likely snare several more victims. If things dry up, all she has to do is run ads with a different set of fake pictures, new name and phone#.

That being said, I went to someone's hotel s few weeks ago and called one I planned to meet with when I arrived. She told me that I needed to send a deposit before she could give me her room number. Things were better when the original Backpage was going. Most of the ladies you could access by phone at that time so you knew they were legit. That means, it is just better not to do the deposit. There are many posts about when to pay and what you get.

Option 1 (deposits): When you do this, you need to review the escort and read between the line. If they ask for things like gift cards or claim it is verification fee to deter from LE, then it is a scam. The other thing to note is that at this point, the person has the money, she does not have to work as hard to get things. Most likely will get less in your meet.

Option 2 (pay at entrance / start): When you meet and they ask for the money upfront, there is a decent chance that the provider is not going to do everything agreed on or put much effort. She has all the money at this point, so she is now focusing on getting you out as quickly as possible.

Option 3 (pay some at start / rest at end): This might work to help keep her motivated on putting effort, but she will be focusing on how to get the rest or just accept that she got some of the money. It might ruined the mood.

Option 4 (pay at the end): If you meet an escort and she does not as for the money right away and trust you will pay in full at the end, these are super rare to find, then she is focusing on the experience and not planning to cut things short. Best results.

Most of the posters here seem to indicate that they can't afford that either. All I really want is one to spend a reasonable amount of time with at reasonable price who is not a scammer.

With all its faults the original Backpage was far better than the clones that came along since the original's forced closure. Texting wasn't as big a thing yet and most of the ladies answered the phone so you knew they were legit. Now all they do is text and despite what some say it is to me a big red flag, a smokescreen. I mostly traverse the site called YesBackpage because it seemed most active. But over the past few days I have noticed the volume of ads is down quite a bit. Could it be that the site is cleaning house and getting wise to the scammers.

I touched on this in another post but said that the most I would advance per gift card, etc. Would be 15 percent. She would still lose the other 85 if she wasn't honest in her dealings.

I get it. More providers are moving to deposits, but I will never pay a deposit. If enough dudes stay put and don't do deposits, there will be providers who are good. And as Beechnut posted early, if they would talk on the phone maybe they could ask some questions to gauge flaky clients. I also understand that they are getting a lot of bullshit calls so there isn't an easy answer. But I find it funny how many guys have multiple posts, yet still post about being burned on a deposit. I learned 2 days after I joined this site: never pay a deposit unless you are booking a reputable and well-reviewed porn star, which is too rich for my wallet.

Well it may have started out that way however on the provider side it now as reported here is also scammers that have no intention of providing a stated service.

The only time I would ever do a deposit is with a reliable and established agency, like YWSM, CCG, ECE, etc. That I have done business with before. They have a business reputation to maintain and in this hobby, good word of mouth is the lifeblood.

But agencies like this rarely ask for deposits because they want to have as much distance with the clients as possible to shelter both of us from LE. Also, they have our RS2 K, P411, and so on to report us to if we flake out and waste a girl's time.

I would never do a deposit with an independent. Not even with a provider I've been seeing for years. Look at Bonnie / Scarlett, Katrina, and others. Girls who were super reliable then just flipped out with an out of control drug habit.

You can find her by doing a search on Jessica, and it will pull up everyone on the site by that name. She is on the fourth page of Jessicas. On the Erotic Monkey site.
