The Canadian Customs are harder on Canadians returning from the US because many Canadians come to the US to buy stuff as it is much cheaper herein they will impose huge import taxes and penalties if Canadians try to 'smuggle' anything back into Canada. But they want non-Canadians (accompanied or unaccompanied) to come into Canada and spend money there.

They usually ask some general questions and we are good to go.

The current laws are set so while it's illegal to buy and advertise sex, but it's legal to sell it. I know, it makes no sense. From my understanding though, prostitution is not really a high priority to LE there, especially in places like Montreal.

As for difficulty of getting into Canada as a single male, I have had no issues getting into Canada both by air and land. When I lived on the West Coast, I went to Vancouver all the time and I have never had an issue.
