Please look it up and educate yourself. Latte come from Italy. If you have done any extensive travel you will know that in Italy if you ask for a latte you get plain milk. If you ask for a Cafe Latte you get steamed milk with espresso. If you go to Spain and ask for cafe con leche you get steamed milk with espresso. If you you go to France and ask for Creme Cafe, you get steamed milk with espresso. If you go to Cuba and ask for a Cafe con leche you get steamed milk with espresso. And if you go to any Cuban restaurant in Miami or any where in the us and ask for cafe con leche you get the same steamed milk with espresso. There is no regular coffee in cafe latte or cafe con leche. The difference is the amount of espresso or milk ration depending on the region or country that you are in. In Italy they froth the milk a bit more. The only place that I know that use regular coffee instead of espresso or a watered down espresso to the milk is Puerto Rico or here in the states.
