Does this situation sound like I'm a little to cautious?

I start talking to a 25 yr old with several pics posted, all public, all with some sort of filter. Still she seems to have a look I like so I don't think much about it.

By the way this is in southern Illinois, basically St. Louis and I tell her I'm here for just a couple days and would she be interested in a short term thing.

She responds to my first message quickly and she says she is interested, no names exchanged, she doesn't ask for a pic, she doesn't get into any $$ talk. I give her my free text number and we start chatting there briefly with me ending it by saying I'll text her on Friday when I get into town.

I text her she says she's up for a meet. I ask if she wants to meet in public first or just hang at the hotel. She doesn't care. We agree on 8 pm at a public location. She then asks if I have a car. I do. She then asks if I can either pick her up or Uber her. I decide on pick up. Probably a bad idea. I tell her I'll text when I'm on the way. When I do she asks "can you leave in 15 minutes so I can get my sitter here". I say okay. 10 minutes later she texts asking if I can pick her up at her sitters house about a block away from her house. She is supposedly now dropping of her kid at the sitter instead of her sitter coming to her.

I decided that it was a little to sketchy for me. No name exchange, she didn't ask for a pic, she never brought up $$, she gave the impression she would come to me and then changed her story, she kept tweaking the pick up time and location.

Am I too paranoid?

There are many first time women who need money, and here are where the gems are, and will spend a romantic afternoon with you for 200-300 because they know the value of money and think 800-1200 a month from a nice guy who respects her and fucks her brains out is a good deal. The GPS and pros who want major money are the ones who are doing a bunch of guys for cash already and would rather find some sucker to pay 600-1200 than sleep with 6 guys for the same cash.
