I too tried AFF a number of times. It was a sausage fest. There are very few real women on there, and just like everyone said, they are quite hard to find. I'm not going to say I didn't make any contacts, I made a few, but nothing that panned out. I bet fakes outnumber real contacts 10: 1 on AFF.

I joined and followed a bunch of those types of sites years ago and can easily agree with what's been said already.
As mentioned, the ratio of men to women feels like 10: 1.
Of those women, only 1 in 10 are actual women who visit the site regularly. The rest are guys pretending to be women, ads for webcam shows or 'professional services', fake profiles set up to lure more customers, or profiles from women who visited once but will probably never return.
Of the actual women, only 1 in 10 is even remotely interested in single men. The rest are just looking with no intention of actually meeting anyone, or they're searching only for other women or couples.
If you are lucky enough to find a real women who's just looking for some fun, you can send her a letter to hope to grab her attention over the other 100+ e-mails that she will most likely receive that day. Every day.
Even if she responds, you'll then have to assure her that you're not some crazy psycho (like the last 3 guys she's met off of there). And so on.
It's possible to find some fun on those sites, but for me, the amount of time and energy needed to pursue it didn't seem worth it.

Hmm... I've had success over the years from AFF, Fling, the old Yahoo date and Lava life (of course I've also gotten lucky from relator.com with listing agents but I cant share those details).

It like sales or marketing the more you do it the better you get. Of course I still monger too. Mostly because I enjoy the thrill of the search and the quick fix of not having to deal with emotional or mental drama just to get laid. And most escorts dont mind if you only call them once a month or every few weeks. Of course Ho's are women too an they have thier own batch of drama and clingy needyness.
