I can honestly say that Sam has never been the hottest girl at the Circus. For those of you who haven't been there lets just say that a full set of teeth will automatically put a girl in the top ten percent.

I am not sure by your comments sam is that wonderful.
As I said, perhaps I will go down and pay my good friend Suzy, the bartender a visit. Its always nice to stop in and say Hi.
As for Sam. Well I don't know. If she is in I will say Hi. All the girls stop by anyway. And Suzy always sends me her top pick right up front. Unless I tell her I am not looking. Even then she sends the girl over. You know Suzy knows her business.

Sam is basically a nice girl but she is a big time junkie and crackhead. I have known her for several years. I personally like her but she is what she is. sam has the rep. of being a big time party girl,many of her customers if not most only use her for her drug contacts and to use her place to party. I was also told she has hep-c. I recently saw her boyfriend he not only looked like a major junkie. He also looked like he might have aids. My best advice is to avoid any sexual contact or at the very least use extreme caution.
I just wanted to let everyone know that Barbera Ann, a blockette, about 45 years old ODed on drugs and died. She was a distant family member of mine, (hard life). I guess that lifestyle can bite.
Im not looking for sympathy, didn't really know her that well, just wanted to pass the info along in case one of you guys knew her.
Anyone up for a tour of the newly smoke-free Block(TM)? It's really just for sh*ts and giggles. I highly doubt it will be smoke free. I am sure the bars will be willing to pay the fines rather than have the girls in back all night smoking. If you are interested, and are a known and trusted senior-member, PM me for details.

I just returned from the block. I spoke to Sam about her cl. ad. Sam said she did not put the ad on cl. I totally believe her. Sam doesn't have a computer and she doesn;t even know how to use one. She was pretty upset about the ad. She has a teenage son and is afraid he will see it.Sam also asked me to let everyone know that whoever you contact when you respond to the ad it's not her. I don't know if any photos are really of her.
I can't remember seeing so many block reports recently. All of the reports recently have been right on with everything that I have expierenced there. However, I also agree that the money you have to shell out at the bars there are steep. That's why I never forget to check out the Midway bar. For those of you who might not know the Midway is NOT a strip bar. It is just a "local" bar right in the middle of all the little strip bars on the block. If you don't want to spend all the $$$ at the strip bars the Midway might be an option for some of you. You can almost always find a couple of SWs in there looking for some action. You might even be lucky enought to see one there who is decent looking. All of them will hang out with you at the bar if you buy them a drink. Drinks are NORMAL prices. 2 or 3 bucks for a beer there. Most of them will flirt and play with your c@@k. If you are in there looking for action they will be more than happy to play. I admit I have never taken one out but a couple of them told me if I was interested they know of a hotel "nearby". I just don't really like the idea of having one of those women in my car. I am not really into that scene. But like I said the Midway (for me anyway), is a cheap alternative to the strips bars when I am looking for a little harmless fun. As always, have fun and be safe.
Over the years, the dancer's drinks have gotten smaller and the prices higher. $25. 00 seems to be the norm now for a standard bar girl's drink. Too much for too little. I went into Norma Jean's and they charged $32! The Red Room didn't have too many attractive woman, mostly between the grade of 7-8, but at least they upgraded the bar stools and made improvements to the interior. Overall, I can't say I saw anyone who was a 9 or 10 anywhere. Twenty-five years ago, you could find a lot of attractive woman working there. But no more. It's nice to go back, to go to places that remind you of pleasant memories. Thankfully, some of the old bar tenders are still there like Joanni from Chez Joeys or Dee from the Diamond. Otherwise, it's just not the place it used to be.
A generally slow night. It looked a lot like a week night. I went into 2 bars (Jewel Box upstairs and Chez Joey). Both had minimal to no customers. It was great to not have to deal with smoking. However, the bar tenders were REALLY talking about the loss of customers due to the smoking ban.
Of course, the lack of traffic did not impact girl drink prices at all. The large VIP drinks were negotiable (though I was still quoted a price of $350 BEFORE tip).
These bars really need to come to grips with their pricing. They could do a lot more volume with a nominal price drop. There are many other options at the rates they charge.
Will the smoking ban accelerate the demise of The Block? The smoking ban will definitely affect the customer base of the bars. The greedy bar owners will have two options, either they will lower their prices (to bring in new customers) or they will have to go out of business. Anyone care to place a bet? Btw, if the Block does close, I believe that we will definitely see an increase in sw and CL activity. The average looking girls that ask for $$$-$$$$$ at the bar will be very disappointed. Reality is really going to hit them hard. I do not mind paying for quality, but I yet to find a good woman that deserves more than $-$.60. per hour. We have put these women on a pedestal and we really should not have. Once we have a nut, the deed is done. How can we pay these women more per hour than what 95% of the population makes per hour? It is just sex, not world decisions or life or death decisions.

Well said. I laugh when I go to Eros and see that most of the ladies are RAISING their prices from 300 to 325 or 350. I guess they ask for what they can get. Fortunately, it is not coming from me.

You buy one and then the bartender tells you, "Oh, that's for non-alcoholic drinks! Your girl ordered an alcoholic drink and those are $32!" Three guesses how many girls are going to order the cheaper drink.
I have to wonder whether increased prices are due to owner greed or increased protection $ to LE and the liquor board. A while back I bought a couple drinks for an older Blockette who went by Cheryl and had previously bartended at Chez Joey. She was remarkably honest about almost all the girls having boyfriends, how some offered BBFS, etc. When the conversation turned to protection money, all of a sudden it was "In all my years on the Block I have never, ever heard of such a thing." Right! No dummy she.
The SO is out of town so I took the opportunity to tour the block on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, this was my first experience after the smoking ban. I was also there about 10 days ago, which was before the smoking ban.
There is no doubt in my mind that things are different now. In about 6 hours in those bars, I only spotted about 3 cigarettes and all of them were customers. I bought a total of 4 drinks for 3 different girls in 2 different bars and never heard a single complaint about smokes. I did hear complaints that I wasn't tipping the fuglies but I don't want the fuglies to be there in the first place.
The bars don't smell nearly as smokey now, but my clothes still smell like I spent a few hours in an exhaust pipe.
I noticed fewer customers than typically seen over the years. But my 10 days ago visit didn't have many customers then either. So, the lack of customers might not be related to smoking.
The biggest change was the increassed activity of the SWs along the block. Normally I don't get approached by these girls unless I smile and say something to them. Now, they seem to approach me in much larger numbers. I also had 2 pimps ask if I was looking for a good time, that was very unusual for me in the past. Maybe they were just scam artists pretending to be pimps. Perhaps these girls want the street job so they can smoke.
I think the overall quality of the girls inside the bars is a little better than it was a month or two ago, but I'd say there are fewer of them now.
When in the bars, the girls were more competative for .01 tips ad for .25 drinks. They work harder and accept lower payment. A back room dance was offered for .6 to the house plus .4 for her; it was tempting but I passed. Perhaps it was really just a dance that was being offered. It has been several years since I've heard anything even close to that cheap.
Best looking staff on Tuesday was Lust, best looking staff on Wednesday was Pussy Cat. About 6 bars had decent choices both days. You have to go in and out of every bar if you want to find the good looking girls.
My guess is the smoking ban will keep away a few custoers but bring in a few others. The same thing will happen for the girls. Overall I expect the block to erode a bit.

I was at the Block last night and had the opportunity for take out. She quoted $300 for 2 1/2 hours. IMHO, that is a whole lot. I turned it down and decided to get something less (See my Craigs List Review for Eve). I guess what I am asking is when you are quoted that much, what do most of you guys do? Do you laugh in her face, talk her down, or give her the money so you can have a good time?
