Going to Tijuana is not as logistically straightforward as it seems- at least to me, and I've been hundreds of times (I grew up here in SD).
More to the point though, I've never heard a girl indicate any sense of competition from the Tijuana scene.

When I was younger I use to go across the border quite often, but the logistics are a pain nowadays or maybe I was just young, dumb and didn't care back then. Sure it's much more affordable, but I'm happy to spend more for the convenience and better quality selection & experience, in my opinion.
