The first idea is White Flint. It's in Rockville and it has many stores and restaurants there and, years ago, it used to be a Flagship mall.

The 2nd idea is RTFF... Amazingly enough another newbie posted similar requests as a first post and received the same response. If you would have read down the page just a little, you would have realized this.

Lead to their continual success. First being the fact that they have found a bizarre niche in the "progressive health" crowd in that part of town. Second being they run a tight ship and everyone there is legal and has papers. Third is that they've gone through so many zoning board hearings and what not that they are pretty much teflon at this point.

Went to Conn Ave 4th Floor; was offered a silverback (as referenced by some other poster a while back) and respectfully declined. So they gave me a line up. Uh why would 5 linebackers with shoulders broader than mine be more attractive? Mamasan: "you be back? " me: "uh. Sure, much later". Checked out star- was offered a housewife. And was told that all you f&ckers were busy with the rest of the line up. Didn't want to wait for sloppy seconds. Decided what the hell, would check out the 3rd floor. Was greeted by granny mamasan, who was the sole dish on the menu. How does that place stay in business unless a whole lot of you go for grannies. Pass. Checked out green door. Quite a commotion there; don't know what happened but thought I saw as I approached a monger hightailing it out of there. Didn't enter and diverted my path.

I went home.

Interesting, I wonder if they were busted.

I was in there and there was a guy talking really loud. I only note this as the last time I heard a similar voice and tone, and that was when Youngs (?) on Connecticut was raided by the cops. I was in there and there was a loud male voice wanting to come in, and they were too busy. He then became more and more persistent and the mama-san told him to come back. I thought it was really odd. Then sure enough, they were busted later that afternoon.

Wondering if the same happened to Green? It would make sense paired with the crackdown on the street that there might be an overall connected effort--plus the stupid ass posts on this board. Will look for news reports on this. Should be today if anything happened yesterday.

Anyway, not surprised and to use a Pimp Trick term, my Spidey Sense was tingling big time and I wanted to get the hell out of there.

I was on my way out the door to visit Green when I read all this. I did a check of the Post, Times, Examiner, and the sleaze DC TV station -- Fox 5 -- and didn't see anything about a bust anywhere in DC in the last day or so.

I'd check it out, except I'm leaving town for a week starting tomorrow.
