Simple Ratings for the rest of us
Simple Ratings for the rest of us
These comments are my opinions and are not necessarily directed specifically back to the Original Poster. I just wanted to express my thoughts for General Discussion.
Yea, this ALWAYS goes well.
I love them all, and they all get 10's.
Going back to sitting on the fence.
Tri.
While this is typically true. Someone's feelings will get hurt (Hobbyists and Providers alike). And, it will lead to White Knighting when someone's favorite gets a low score or Pleas by Providers to give them a better rating. Possibly there will be undeserving high ratings and low ratings applied to some Providers. However, we run that risk even with "normal" reviews too.
I think this is actually ratings thing is really not valid. Each provider has good / off days. As always your YMMV. I think some providers that are getting low scores should get better ones. I have seen some providers here at listed 7 or 6 and are much better than that. Maybe we should just stick to each member stating his enjoyment in his dream and we all go from there. Also, Every provider would have to be listed to be fair. Just go out and have fun and be safe! Just saying.
Certainly, YMMV and everyone has good days / bad days. However, I think all of this is reflected in the variety of ratings each Provider has been receiving. If you have had a better or worse experience, I would encourage you to report your encounters. That gives us more data to evaluate.
The advantage to this list is several-fold.
1) While this will never replace individual reviews for more detailed information and opinion (and it shouldn't try to), it does provide a quick one-stop location for Hobbyists to get a rough (maybe very rough) idea of what Provider is like at any given time.
2) It will help people who cannot find, or complain that they cannot find, any information on a given Provider.
3) It is a good first step in doing additional research. You get an idea of what a Provider might be like and it will give you a lead on who you might want to research more.
I think the list is great. Generally there seems to be some consistency in the ratings of the providers. For those with multiple scores you can throw out the high score and the low score as outliers, then you are left with an accurate rating of the overall experience. Very useful in my opinion as a great way to see all of the providers listed in one spot, so I can pick or research my next dream. I don't think it is meant to take the place of actual reviews.
Providers that are disappointed in their ratings may be inspired to improve their game.
Just my opinion.
4) By bringing together multiple ratings for each Provider, it gives you the chance to compare several different opinions at once (without having to search all over). I agree with Dr Kenneth W. If you throw out the extremes (if a Provider has extremes), you probably have pretty good average evaluation of your likely experience.
However just a few thoughts from me about this. Obviously this list will continue to grow as others chime in. Instead of increasingly long posts, what would you and others think about a once a day or every other day update. AND posted with a rolling average for each provider? Just my opinion and thoughts.
WM
PS: With my numerous (too many to count) experiences over the years with Sarah TT (2012 provider of the year from that indy place), I give her solid 10's! And that is,if possible, on the low side!!
I agree with once a day or every other day posting. No Provider is going to change that much from day-to-day nor are multiple-a-day posts really going to benefit a Hobbyist or get more business for a Provider who is not currently listed.
The rolling average is a good idea and maybe should be added, but I like seeing all of the ratings, so that I can compare them and extrapolate my own evaluation.
Perhaps this should be made into its own Sticky Thread (thoughts A2?) to keep the multiple posts contained and to provide an easier place to look for the ratings.
I don't get it, why would I use a rating like that? Not to seem to white knightish but they are human beings not cattle if you choose to use that rating system then go ahead but I think you are wrong to try and recruit the board to follow suit. And as I said before to rate human beings. How would you feel if the girls petitioned admin for a site and rated YOUR performance on a scored basis? No I'm sure I won't participate in your scoring system I think I will continue to post the way I've been posting.
And then you said pm you, who are you? Why would I pm you? You have what? 31 post or something man get out of here with that BS. I'm out.
This system may not benefit you or some other Hobbyists. A number of Hobbyists (escort and streetwalker mongers both) use a numerical rating system to review and compare Providers. I've seen that quite a few times in posts by various members (e.g. Looks: 7, Cleanliness: 9, Attitude: 9, Skills: 8). Of course each person's "5" is not the same. If I see a Provider and think she is a "9", you might see her and not agree. BUT, what this does is give a basis for comparison. It should NOT be your only method of evaluation, but as I said, "it's a good place to start your search". We should all continue to post more detailed reviews of the Providers to give a more full and rounded description of our experiences.
As with any of the reviews on here.- YMMV. Take these ratings for what value you consider them worth. Use them or don't use them. And while the Providers are not cattle, we ARE here to review and comment on our experiences with Providers and share our thoughts on the value of the SERVICES provided. So, you are definitely "rating" them one way or another. Even if its "I'd see her" or "I'll never go see her". Remember, you are not rating them on their qualities as a Human Being, but on the services that they provide.
And personally, I would have no problem if the ladies wanted to rate the guys. Frankly, I'm sure it happens on the side anyhow, whether they use numbers or not.
I see several lists of ratings. It seems completely useless to me unless there was some standard to go on. I've seen several of these ladies. Some, to me were fantastic, some good, some mediocre and one or two I'd never even consider seeing again. One man's 10 is another man's 4. Why not a list that shows acceptable and unacceptable. I think all most of us want to really know is this woman safe to see or not? Maybe a list with various services each provides and general rate charged?? Just my .02 worth. Happy hunting to all!
Safety is paramount. But knowing if your money is going to be well spent; knowing if you are likely to enjoy yourself or not; those are just as important. Again, I think you can take these ratings for what you think they are worth. If I see a Provider with several of the same or near the same ratings, I feel that it is a good indicator of what I'm LIKELY to experience. I might end up rating her a point higher or lower based on my actual experience, but it will probably be close. If I see a Provider consistently getting 2's or 3's, I still might go see her, but I also won't be expecting to have my World Rocked. Although, I might be very pleasantly surprised.
Certainly, I also like the idea of a central place to find a list of Providers, her services, her rate, her general location. But that is a lot of what I use the "Escort Classified Ads" Thread for.
It would be helpful if these were part of a monger's profile. As far as I can tell, there's no way to do it, currently.
This would allow for analysis of trends I'm seeing which don't jive with my own experience / opinion.
This could be an interesting idea (adding your ratings to your profile). Profiles aren't used much on USASG. I still like the idea of having the reviews / ratings in one place. But, if I saw that TheGoodSh had seen and positively reviewed Providers that I liked, I might be interested to see who else he had seen. If we have similar interests, I might want to go see those other Providers too.
If the current ratings don't jive with your experience, I would encourage you to share your ratings too. That is to the benefit of everyone here.
I am assuming that these are performance ratings? That's probably a lot easier to qualify than looks. I've seen high looks ratings on here for girls you wouldn't give a 2nd thought to in real life. However with performance, you can start with some basic services like BBBJ, CIM, DFK, Greek, then throw in attitude, ease of setting up an appointment, promptness, clock watching, hygiene, etc. It could be useful if you get enough ratings for each and a trend develops for a particular provider.
I would assume these are "overall experience" ratings. More of what you get if you combine the Looks, Cleanliness, Attitude, Skills, etc. Ratings that you see in other reviews.
Good or bad, used or not, positive or negative, I think this has merit and should continue. Everyone has to bear in mind the limitations of this type of system and to not get defensive or argumentative when someone posts a rating that you don't like or agree with.
As they say on Good Morning Tri-State on channel 9: "These are unscientific tests with unscientific results" (laughs)
Sorry for the length of this post, but I wanted to incorporate a number of the previous posts, so that I could provide my thoughts in counterpoint. Also, I'm sorry if I was repetitive or redundant. The themes throughout are similar.
