I've been to this place twice most recently a few weeks ago. It was the same therapist both times. Slender probably in her 50's, could be pushing 60 . Not really attractive but in my opinion gives a great massage. The last time I was there I found myself drifting off a bit as she did my back. Both times I got a standard finish but last time she used an aggressive two hand technique that almost caused me to tell her to stop. Almost. Standard no hassle 60/40 for the hour. I probably won't return for a 3rd visit unless it's just for the massage and honestly I'm surprised this place has remained open for so long.

I've been to Shanghai in K-town with good luck and even hit paydirt at the mighty wash AMP 1 out of the 3 times I've been there. Not the most recent though and I don't think I'll return there. Any other suggestions in the K-town area?

Well, I think the situation is not as dire as some think.

In the past week or two I've been a lot of places.

Shanghai. Always been good for me. And easy on the budget. I never spend more than $100 a trip. The girls not so good looking but let's face it, we're not marry them either. Offered to lift the shirt for an extra 20 did it once, wasn't worth it.

#1. There's a new hottie there. Looks young but probably 40-45. Takes a few trips to get to know her. Standard fees and tips with a little bit more because she is cute. So far all groping outside.

Pink. Things are looking much better there these days. Very slow you can get in at any time. Have had better luck than most there at least according to the reports. No 50 year old old lady walking around. Standard fees and tips.

BZ. Cute little almost underage looking waif. Bra could have been hiding two Walnut shells. Nothing on the table there. In fact got my hands pushed away and warned.

Sunflowers probably has the best game in town right now. You're going to get a great massage for sure. Extras for me. It's a one-girl show but she can handle it. Used to be two girls there. Lily has moved on and has left behind Jessica. YMMV.

Peony and 65th Street. Came in, saw who was working and left.

VIP. I keep finding myself there. Yuyu's hygiene has improved greatly. One thing though, when she's on her back why does she look like she's in pain?

Burlington. There's an older one who helps you leave happy. HJ only. The younger one thinks she is GPS. 80 bucks for FIV. Not worth it but fun if you haven't had a chance to do that in a while I guess.

Refuse to get a massage by the older ones there. No way. Tried to get in on Wednesday too busy. Stopped in on Thanksgiving closed stopped in today closed.

So there you have it. I would like to see more from some of the others here.

I was bored a few days ago and decided to check out a few spots in K-town.

Started at #1 and found the front door was locked. Decided to head north to check out Sunflowers but with all the construction couldn't find the place, ended up at Shanghai. . 8 for the door fee and a room with no door was not my idea of relaxing but that was the beginning. After waiting about 10 minutes I was told that there would be more waiting. Another 15 minutes. Finally the massage starts but with the barking of the dogs next door and the multiple interruptions (answering the front door / talking on the phone / arguing with the others while yelling over the wall at each other) I never got into it. The last straw was the attempted negotiation after the flip. At that point I was done and just walked out.

I get that these places see lots of customers that may not be very friendly but that doesn't account for the complete lack of customer service. If we allow this type of interaction it will never change. For me, I'm done until the level of service and service providers improves.

I always call ahead to 109. And even then I had to stand and ring the buzzer and no one came to the door. After texting the dispatcher somebody finally answered the door. Turns out the buzzer doesn't work. Made no sense to me.

I read about your travels through Kenosha. What time did you go to #1? They're generally open by 9.

Sunflowers right next to that barber shop that's on the corner of 50th and 22nd Avenue. They poured the concrete on 22nd Avenue two weeks ago. I don't know why the roads not open, sure would make things easier getting around.

I got the feeling you must have had the shorter masseuse Linda. Kind of short and stocky? She likes to start to negotiate by rubbing her finger tips together. Don't worry baby, you'll get something for your services. 40 is good enough.

Stopped by there and drew Mia who is probably early 40's and said she was new. She was talkative with pretty good English and gave a nice massage, not too hard or soft and left happy for 60/40.

What I didn't like was the fact that the walls don't go all the way up and the doorway is only covered by a half curtain so there is literally no privacy. Anyone walking past that room can certainly see and hear everything going on.

Another thing I didn't like is that it was cold inside and the music was way too loud. I don't know if this place is part of the "Cocotopian Empire" but if it is then someone needs to tell her to turn up the damn heat and turn down the music. Mia was great and did a nice job but it's hard to enjoy yourself when it's cold and the music is distracting.

AJ.[/QUOTE]I don't know how I keep missing Mia. I stopped in myself recently and had Linda. Definitely nothing to look at but friendly and gives a decent massage. Nothing therapeutic. Just relaxing. I have been on the table with Lily, a very cute 20 something legit masseuse. I don't think you can get anything more than deep tissue with her. And although she's much better to look at and Linda you're on your stomach anyhow.

This is one of those places that charges extra for deep tissue. Yes, it's harder to do but I've never been charged extra for deep tissue anywhere else.

The walls that don't go to the ceiling are problematic especially if somebody is in the room next door. But that's how they want it, it seems to promote that this is a legit Spa and nothing is going on so what do we have to hide?

I personally like Shanghai but don't get in there very often because I've had decent luck in Kenosha and don't need to go there often and if I fail elsewhere or can't get in to my favorites.

When I did meet the same gal it was more difficult that my first time to get a helping hand. Decent massages, always left happy, but nothing special. Same experience as already mentioned.

The most notable experience was the one time, Annie massaged my stomach at the end and told me it would help me poop! I thought she was joking but she was right.

That's what I remember most from A1! Sad.
