Scarlett, I think you're completely missing his point. His comment didn't have anything at all to do with whether the descriptions of her services in her ads were too overtly illegal or not. As we all know, whether it is legally advisable or not, there are plenty of gals who provide plenty of possible legally risky information in their ads, everything from specific pricing to mention of blowjobs to other specific sexual fetishes. Even if they use code words like roses or lollipops or "speaking greek", it doesn't fool or protect anyone. Who really cares all that much about that in this context? As TM said that is you gals problem. It comes down to a trade-off between legal risk and effective marketing. We guys, as consumers, are going to want to know as specifically as possible exactly what we will be getting for our hard earned money.

Any way, what didn't make any sense to JW and he was questioning was, if she didn't quote any rates or make any mention of greek (illegal or not) anywhere in her ads (and he hadn't actually met her himself) then how would Dboy know she offers hourly and half hourly rates or whether she "speaks greek for a reasonable upgrade". And Dboy explained it. He says he simply called and spoke to her (and that she "seemed legit to me over the phone." whatever that means).

Getting back to your point. If a gal is careful enough not to make any mention of rates or specific sexual acts over the phone, how is it then that much safer from a legal standpoint to go into those details over the phone with some stranger who just called up and, for all she knows, might be a UC cop setting her up for a bust and perhaps even recording the conversation for later evidence. Maybe it was because she felt that Dboy "sounded legit" over the phone too? When you get down to it at some point or other one side or the other is just going to have to make some leap of faith.

My questions for this discussion would be these:
1) Exactly what is it that makes one advertiser "sound legit" to you guys? Is it because she talks in a seductive voice over the phone or because she talks like she comes from a trailer park or something? And how hard would that be for a sting officer (who is already playing a role) to simply mimic?

2) If one is going to be (depending on your viewpoint) so paranoid or cautious and therefore be so circumspect in what they mention in their print ads, then why would they suddenly throw that caution to the wind and start blabbering away with what is basically a total stranger over the phone based solely on some sort "sixth sense" screening method?

For correcting me. And yes I used to do that but my lawyer advised me to clean up my ads and my website. So I did.

Speaking just for moi, I find reviews to be extremely helpful. Obviously, some one must be the first to sample and I do not at all mind TOFTT. If a lady's ad is more specific, i.e. - speaks Greek, etc., then there is less doubt and more reason to want to try a particular provider.

I would hate to go see a new girl only to have wasted the money that one my faves would have appreciated over and over again. I can't say reviews are a must, sometimes you have to TOFTT.
