Another site (Dr strip club?) gave a rave review but I think he works on referrals.

Then the new wears off and business isn't what is expected or prices go up and it just turns into a normal vegas club that could be so much more but doesn't hold a candle to other spots in the country.

Got a friend that works at Play it again sam's and they were raided and shut down for a day also. With inflation this high even the cops got to make a little extra income. LOL.

Peppermint Hippo, the new strip club where the original OG was located. Now I've heard great things about OG back in the day but sadly I missed my chance to visit. So I was a bit excited so to speak to hear a new strip club is opened. Don't recall how I've heard about this (might be a news article) and searching online yields very limited reviews (there's 1 Yelp review and one from Dr. Strip club) which he's raving about it.

I believe they've been opened since early April so I thought it's time to check out this new club. I arrived on Saturday afternoon around 4 pm as I didn't want to go in when it's too crowded. Pulled up the parking lot and there's quite a few cars but I'm guessing they're workers / dancers. Security guy up front to check I'd and do a quick pat down. No cover for locals but I had to wait what seems like a few minutes as there's no cashier. I wasn't going to be rude and just walk in so I waited and they finally show up to double check my I'd.

As soon as you walked in you'll be greeted with the infamous Hippo, I mean this guy is HUGE! (no pun intended) It's definitely a gimmick but it worked as I had to stop for a second to admire this guy. Once I walk past this giant statue I see the club layout is very opened and high ceiling (like 2 stories) Main and only stage I believe has 3 poles. With small table and regular chairs surrounding it. The outer area are surrounded by more tables and chairs. There's some larger booths on the right side of the main stage and to the left it's the VIP area (with curtains) The men's restroom is just right around the corner as soon as you walk past the cashier.

Quick glance and I noticed there's not a lot of customers or dancers. 3 including myself and probably just 3-5 dancers, nobody on stage. I started walking to the main bar area in the back, now this is a strange as you can't just walk straight up to the bar, there's this "path" where it slowly slopes up, you make a right then you make a left almost like you're waiting in line for something. I suppose they made it so it's wheelchair friendly. Another quick thing I noticed by the bar is there's no chairs so it seems like they don't want anyone to hang out there for too long. The bartender is very sexy and friendly.

I ordered a Corona for $6. After having another one I almost called it quit as there's no activities and nobody approached me. Luckily the cool bartender was able to crack the whip on a few dancers to get on stage. Clarke is first up, she's tall, very short hair, I went up to tip her a few bucks to get the party started. After she was done, she came by the bar to thank me for the tip and introduced herself. We chit chatted a bit before settling down at one of the many tables.

She explained that floor dance is $20/ song on the floor but it's not topless. VIP private booth is $100 for 3 songs and it included 2 drinks. She wasn't sure about the other option and I wasn't interested getting anything beyond VIP. I tested the water with one song and it wasn't anything great but she was cool to hang out with. Eventually I bought her a drink $7 which isn't bad. Next thing you know another dancer (one with the nerdy glasses) came by. I also sampled another dance from her and bought her a drink just to hang out. I went to use the restroom as the coronas are kicking in, I was a bit surprised by a maintenance guy that's still performing work on one of the stalls. I don't recall the exact count but there's at least 3 stalls for #1 and 3 for #2 and 3 sinks I believe.

When I return to the table there's ANOTHER new dancer showed up at the table. LOL Blue Jay is her name, she's beautiful, sexy, and huge set of tits. Bought her a drink as well why not and sampled another song, she's definitely the one I would take to VIP later.

By now I'm fairly buzzed and feeling good as I've lost count how many beers I've had. When went to the restroom again, no joke, another dancer showed up at the table, now there's 4 dancers total. Asian dancer, very cool personality. I sampled another song from her and bought her a drink.

By now the girls were fairly hungry and I suggested we get food delivered. Of course they all like Sushi, who doesn't? And that's what we got. Sometime before the food gets here we all took a shot of patron, not my favorite but whatever. After the food arrived I'm ready to call it quits. We finished most of the food and I've decided to ask Blue Jay for VIP. By now waitresses are actually here so one of them came by and take our drink order. I have to give the waitress the $100 first then she gives the rest to the dancer (not sure how much) the private booth are nice (well they're BRAND NEW) with extremely heavy curtains in front so you get privacy. The 3 songs go by fast I'll say they're fairly nice dance but I'm on the fence if I would get them again.

I hug the girls before I left and as I was leaving I noticed 5 hours flew by. More customers arriving but still not crowded for a Saturday night. I will be back as it seems like a great place to chill and hang out. I wouldn't expect extras here as they're plenty of signs (no joke) that said "prostitution is ILLEGAL" lmao.

Also wanted to point out there's no DJ in the afternoon and their playlist "craps out" a few times there's just SILENCE in the club which is weird.

It sounds like the place is still trying to figure things out. I have NV ID, so it is good to know I can make frequent visits -- no cover. If they are having a good night, I stay; if not, I leave.

It's also nice to know that they are doing table dances (even if not topless). A lot of places stopped doing table dances. At first, it was a COVID thing. Now I think the clubs are holding off on table side dances to push VIP packages, which results in a bigger ticket for the house and dancer to split.

And a lot of clubs charge for entry into the VIP (plus an additional) minimum drink purchase. If at Hippo you get two drinks included with your VIP entry/dance package -- maybe that's not so bad.

BTW.. You mentioned that you missed that era when OG was THE place to go. OG had a good run. But then the "arms race" began. Places like Treasures, Hustler and Crazy Horse III opened. OG was never as nice as those newer clubs.

I actually was there too on Saturday, but arrived around 4:45 am in the morning. So out on Friday night, and hit up Hippo after spending time at Chicas. (Side note: arrived at Chicas at 1 am, busy as hell, private dance area packed and packed throughout the night to the point where the gals would have to wait at the entry w / their guy for a spot to open up).

Got in as a local so no cover. Not sure how much they were charging non-locals at this time of the night.

The place was busy, a lot of customers running around. They have hookahs there also for people that are into that. I'd say a good 25 girls working. There was only 1 9 or 10 depending on your taste, a handful of 8's, and the rest were all 7's or less. Good variety of size and race.

There's actually 2 large rooms (one to the left of the hippo, and the other to the right), and 2 large stages. I'd say the stages are similar in size, but the room to the right that has the VIP section is the larger of the rooms. When I came in, they had 2 girls dancing on the stage in the left room, literally sweeping up 1's with a broom after their set. This side was later shut down and closed off by a curtain sometime after 5 am.

They had 1 girl at a time dancing on the stage in the right side room, later this went to 2 girls after the other stage closed. The 1's were flowing a little less freely on this side. Vodka-sprite from the bar was $11.

I did get approached several times which is cool. The only time though I got into pricing was from the leader of the little gaggle of 8's. She said the VIP section had 15,30 and 60 minute sessions with the 15 minute session being $300. Yes, $300 and no mentions of drinks either. So I guess afternoon Saturday is definitely more bang for your buck. Needless to say I did not partake, but did hang out at the stage for a decent amount of time dispensing 1's.

I usually prefer smaller clubs such as Chicas, Hippo seems to be just right. And you're right about clubs no longer offering table dances so this place is good to sample one song before you make that decision. And the table dance is NOT air dance like other club I've heard.

Agreed the VIP $100 for 3 songs (drinks included, no entry fee) is not horrible. I suppose they want to get you drunk some more so you buy another 3 songs.

And yes I wish I can time travel back and visit OG.

I went to Chicas the day after Hippo (review will follow soon) My memory was a bit fuzzy after I left Hippo as I did not even noticed the other stage.

Pricing for 15/30/60 is insane! $300 for 15 min. Thank you but no thank you. Even Palomino's 15 minutes is $150. Usually pricing is about $10 per minute.

I don't expect any extras in this club so IMO it's not even worth it. I would try to get digits for some OTC but as always most dancers just want you to visit them in the club.

Finally made my way back to Chicas, my last visit was on a Sat night but that was way too crowded / hectic. Arrived Sun late afternoon still daylight. Paid the $5 cover, no security / bouncer yet. It seems I came in way too early as it was fairly dead. Nobody on stage, nobody sitting by the stage, plenty of opened tables and hardly anyone in the VIP.

I walked up to the bar area and just waiting for the bartender but looks like they're busy restocking. As I was waiting, a very petite Cuban fairly dark skin came up and introduce herself. A bit chit chat and a bit waiting and I'm like fuck it let's do it. Sat by the VIP entrance, very nice dance, she's silky smooth and soft. Great grinding skill and she would occasionally throw a small kiss (to my cheek) so that's a nice touch. It was an intimate dance but I felt like there's nothing extra. 2 songs and I was good.

Went back to the bar and finally got my redbull as I had one too many the night before. Planted myself near the front, there's absolutely zero activities. I noticed one dancer just hanging out with her pimp / regular which they finally called her on stage. Once she's on, there's a few guys went up then it started to slowly get more activities as more dancers flowing in and now there's a bouncer / security.

By now there's a lot more dancers floating around. One I turned down because of the typical "want to dance" line and she wasn't my type. I'm sure if she's smoking I would have said yes. I did sample quite a few usually they come up and offered the $100 for 5 songs deal which might seems good initially but if the songs are shit then you just wasted $100. I always counter with 1 song at $25 and if it's good then we do $100 deal. I kid you not, EVERY single one failed the 1st song test. But at least most will wait for the next song to start if it's already in the middle so I don't have to stop them.

After sampling 4-5 dancers I was about to give up and call it a night. As I was waiting at the bar for another redbull, a SMOKING hot Cuban came up to me. I mean she's DDG like she just came from a Victoria Secret photo shoot (most likely the hottest girl in the club) 0-10 she's on 11 scale. Now most of the time the hottest girl doesn't do shit. And I was going to get another redbull but fuck it I'm going to try at least one song with her. She picked the spot to the left of the VIP entrance. Not even 10 seconds in I knew she's "the one" There's really no limit with her (as much as you can get away in the VIP) as there's cameras. Very nice HJ, full access to her perfect tits and ass. Stay up to date on what's going on in TJ through internationalsexguide. Nl. Heck, I'd buy the subscription! They are a very friendly community, so long as you put some research in. You try and get a dance at any of these clubs, you need to keep your hands in your pockets. It'll die down soon. Or just go to some of the clubs just outside of Vegas.
