The last three or four weeks has been pretty rough, I wonder if this is just my luck or the recent BLTs? Of the four or five reliable places I know, I've struck-out or been stranded on second at each.

When things get rough a trip up to the "blue collar staffing" office in Downey used to be worth the drive, but they've gone downscale just as their building has gone upscale. I visited there about three weeks ago and settled for what was available–older and soggier–the two subsequent visits, I just left. The next stop is usually the decidedly more downscale—and upsized, synthetically and otherwise—spa down the street, waay down the street, across the atlantic.
