So this one may be a hard one for anybody to answer. Does anybody know how tough they are here with marrying a woman from a foreign country so she can get her green card and come to the USA? This vietnamese girl I know wants me to go to Vietnam with her so I can marry her friend so she can come here to the USA Must say it seems kind of difficult for me to understand even thoughI do think her getting a green card would get her into the USA Quickly but then again I think we have a fair immigration policy here now as it is so I don't see how me marrying her could help her, unless it gets her here very quickly than the routine immigration process. If she's your wife, she gets into the country easily. But, they do know that people go through sham marriages for just such a purpose and I believe you will eventually be questioned about this.

Since its a marriage of convenience much easier to divorce later if your married in the states. I had a friend go and marry a girl in the phillipines, it didn't work out and divorcing her was a disaster. Your experience may vary but safer to marry here.

Immigration will drag you through the coals; you'll have to prove that you've had a long-term relationship and know her intimately. If you do get her here, (doubtful) she can bleed you dry through a divorce.

It is a very risky proposition, the Government will require that she have a financial sponsor, you will have to turn over copies of your bank statements, tax returns for the government to scrutinize. You as sponsor will be responsible for her hospital bills / emergency room bills, if she ever needed treatment for an illness at a hospital. The entire process could take 5-6 years, before a residency card is issued. Just before the residency card is issued you will both be interviewed separately and asked very intimate questions about each other. One fuck up and she will be placed for immediate deportation. You on the other hand will have your day in Federal court and fined a few thousand dollars. I would only do it for someone I truly loved and had every intention of spending the rest of my life with.
About 20+ years ago the immigration process was easy, you could walk into an immigration office, say you were married and receive a green card with no questions asked, so many people have abused the process over the years that they now have you jumping through so many hoops.
Here's something else to think about, if you find some other girl you really like and she wants to get married are you willing to keep her waiting for 5-6 years?
