I think I gave the wrong impression earlier. When I was new at this, the ladies could tell and many of them quoted higher prices to me as a result. Now I just pay the going rate without asking and I have rarely had to haggle. The moral of the story is to know the rates in advance -- asking for prices is like saying "please rob me".

Went by Green to see Nana the night before last, she was busy so I spent time with Mickey. The TS was OK, back at the room, no massage right to business. Try calling first instead of just walking in. They try to fly under the radar and just walking up can get you in hot water with the owner. Also, massage without a license is illegal, so H&H will say sensory deprivation, other places say "muscle training" or similar. If you bust in asking about massage, you pretty much come off looking like LE. I tried the walk in approach my first time, and barely made it in, and even then, the girl asked if I was a cop.

It's possible the buzz lately on the board here (and maybe other places with the situation in town) has caused their business to shoot up with new clients as of late. That'll just make the owner (the older woman you saw) more suspicious. If you've blown it a couple times, you might have trouble getting in a third time if you're on her sh*t list now.

I say give it a couple days to cool off, then call and set an appt. if you want to go again. It's much smoother that way.

Rates at the Circle are indeed .6 for half .8 for whole...plus 1.2-1.4 tip.

The ladies there are claiming that's what everywhere charges now, but, just because that's what they say doesn't make it true. News to me that the stellar place nearby has hiked it's door fee...but, other places are still standard fare.

For what it's worth, I realy don't think it is the girls upselling, it's the rates they're instructed to quote and collect.

I don't entirely disagree with Rejected Monke. You should have a bit extra on hand for superstars...but not to be given up front. This is not the time to increase the base rates though.

To review recent history, the place in Adams Morgan tried to raise the rates...they failed. The flowery place on M tried to raise the fees...they failed. The only way the place near the circle will succeed at that is if every lady there is a superstar...and provides a level of therapy to match.

No offense, but if there were EVER 30 places in DC, the odds would not be good at all. That would mean one spa every two square miles. That's a far cry from reality.

Can confirm prices at Star are as usual. Had a great meet with Coco there this AM. She took her time and made sure I had fun. She did too. There were 3 girls there at opening. That is unusual. Business must be good! Keep up the good work...

I've been enjoying reading all of you for awhile. I kinda left the scene a few years ago but slowly getting back in it.

So today I went to see this lady, she advertise on CL as Asian Latina but she's really an African American.
