They don't care about locals
Man the Raiders suck. The MEGA price tag to the tax payers and citizens was enormous for a team that has only had a winning record twice in 10 years.
This year they are on track to be the Worst team in football.
And if the Raiders suck then the A's TOTALLY SUCK! They have only had a handful of winning seasons in 20 years and known as the graveyard for washed up players and misfits.
Besides 2020 the A's haven't been in the playoff's since 2013 and have been plagued with a bad front office, bad scouting and a bad farm system for ever.
Nothing will change with the A's except the landscape.
The only pro sports team in town that gives a damn about locals are the Knights. "Vegas Born" is possibly the most brilliant slogan in sports. Resonates on many levels and they use it in many ways to spark local engagement. Being a team of "misfits" (players other teams didn't value enough to protect from being available for the Knights to select) created this chip on their shoulder mentality, that they were unwanted .. that "you look down on me" vibe also really resonates here. Well done. They also benefitted from debuting the franchise right after the Oct 1 tragedy, which immediately rallied the community together around something local and positive (them). All added up to quite a run and roots quickly grew. Kids and adults here will be Knights fans their entire lives no matter where they move to later in life.
On the flip side, you have the Raiders. A team owned by a real life muppet who was gifted the team by his father and gifted the most sweat heart deal (Sandoval completely bent over) ever to move the team, with the sole purpose of being another thing to attract tourists. I mean they forgot to add a parking lot, which tells you how much they care about locals / tailgating.
That stadium is also a piece of crap which looks 20 years old already. No big screen above the field like Cowboys stadium which cost like $600 M less. Go to Dallas or LA and compare, it's not even close. I mean $2 B for THAT stadium? How much corruption and kick-backs were there?? And the muppet is pissed because every game the Raiders play at home or away is essentially a road game when you look into the crowd. They deserve to be terrible. And no one cares, b / c we're all transplants who brought our NFL allegiance with us and root for our "back home" team anyway. Maxx Crosby should demand a trade out of here - NFL careers are too short to waste time with a perennial loser who won't fix a broken culture. Davis doesn't care about winning, he just wants to live the Vegas bachelor life as an NFL owner and churn though as many Hooters waitresses and bottomless wings buckets as he can. The guy is as much a disaster as his team. If he had a brain, he'd cash in. Take his $4-5 billion and go away. Hell, he could buy Hooters and have billions left over to party.
It would be better for Vegas if the As can't get financing together and they force MLB to add an expansion team in Vegas instead. Like the Knights. Start from a blank canvas. Being right on the strip though tells you this is another tourist bait play and locals won't be much of a consideration. That stadium will be another money pit. Let the As stay put in Sacramento. MLB wants a team in Vegas, make it a new team with no association to that cluster fuck of a franchise. Learn the Raiders lesson, Vegas!
Knights care about locals?
Lmao boy do I have a bridge to sell you. As soon as the knights have a few bad seasons in a row and the people stop showing up, you'll see how much they care about you as a person. Hint, they don't, they exist just to make money same as any other sports franchise.
I have a feeling this Crush guy's wife got fucked by Mark Davis or something, he seems really passionate about the Raiders lmao.
Whoa, someone's salty today.

Yes, all sports franchises aim to be profitable—that's how they exist—but the Golden Knights stand out. They've invested in grassroots hockey programs, built a fan base from scratch, and made hockey relevant in the desert. That's a long-term play, not just a cash grab.
Their response to the October 1 tragedy proved their commitment to this city, rallying Las Vegas when it needed them most. Add in youth hockey leagues, rink building, fan festivals, school visits, and countless community events where players actually show up and engage, and you've got a team that walks the talk.
The Knights are built on loyalty, pride, and investment in Vegas—something certain other teams could learn from. But hey, keep the bitterness coming. It's kind of entertaining.
The projection is strong.
