Nothing better after a day at the beach than a slice of and. Why. Style pizza that you have to fold in half to eat and an ice cold beer. Its family owned been around 20 something years, right on the beach, it's a small place so there is limited inside seating but outside they have additional tables / benches. Always right out of the oven fresh.

Lets start by saying in general East Lake County is a food wasteland. If you like fast food you're covered.
But if you like Pizza there is a real old time Pizzeria, it's a dump on the corner of SR46 and Highland Street in Mount Dora. Bocci Pizza is owned by "Nick" who made Pizza in the Bronx for 20 yrs. Before moving to Florida.
If you want just a slice, you get a huge slice for $1. 50, if you order a pizza make sure 'Nick" makes it (He's usually there), his helpers just don't have the magic touch, sort of like some providers don't have the "Magic" touch either and if going to eat it you want it to be good. LOL.
It's in an old shopping center on the corner in the far right side, it's not the kind of place you travel too or bring your family to (You Could) but there is no atmosphere, just 4 walls and a Pizza oven but the pizza is great if you're in the area.

Friends have told me they have good pie. Never been but thinking about it. However, I'm a Chicago boy and I'm use to good pie.

Probably the best dessert of all time was the banana pudding pie at Barnie's. The day they closed I went by and bought a couple of pieces and just savored every bite. It took a good couple of hours to finish it. A dessert that we can never enjoy again.
Anyone have a good alternative?
